2 of the 3 Vax options are also not FDA approved, only emergency authorized, and the other just recently got their stamp. If anyone does want to be a part of an actual test of alternate medications (science!), the Activ-6 Study is an option. No horse dewormers but Ivermectin is on their list.

Just wanted to add a clarification here. All 3 vaccines were FDA approved, under emergency use authorization (EUA). 1 of them now has full approval. EUA still requires clinical trial evidence of safety and efficacy before being released on the market. EUA and 'operation warp speed' allowed multiple steps during the approval to be done in parallel as opposed to in series which saved a lot of time and brought them to market in record speed. It was an amazing achievement that we as americans should be proud of. More info on EUA here.

The already over reaching government is now spending my tax dollars to sit and talk about how high these inbred brother cousins can lift the front of their clapped out Chevy?
What ever happened to shaming, pointing and laughing, ridiculing, and ball busting all these low brows mercilessly until they wised up and realized they were being stupid, inconsiderate, unsafe, annoying, and ignorant?
Where are these 'kids' parents? Really, has NO ONE told these douche squatters that they are the laughing stock of basically everyone?
None of us here should be happy that your elected officials are getting a taste of legislating vehicle mods.
We need to back hand these brainless 'kids'.

^^ 'kids' includes both the crawlers and the state legislators imho.

That said, if there is proof it will save lives on the road and the legislators can provide substantial proof - not sure I "blame" them. I doubt they have it, though.

BTW, you can add a thousands of things like this that I don't want to discuss here - - from BOTH political parties.

But everybody's "opinion" is fact, remember...? That makes it automatically worth more than yours. Govco has proven that on both sides.

To the point, though, I spend 2-3 days a week in a place full of Carolina Squats. I don't think I've ever seen one on the road after dark, ie no bizarre or annoying headlight patterns. So maybe they actually are being kind of responsible? OR maybe they're just reverse vampires.

And we are here now....

They are out after dark, every night.
Especially now that is is getting darker earlier.
I invite you to downtown Raleigh (or the beltline) any weekend night.
The squatters are out in force, but aren't the only 'problem' being unsafe, disturbing the peace, and actively working to be as inconsiderate and dangerous and annoying as possible. That is the problem, we have noise laws, current car mod laws, nuisance laws.....and nothing is enforced.
This is where the shaming and ridicule and laughing at these wastes of space comes in...they all have their instagram name on them....lets get after it.

What I posted was clear and supported by the manufacturer.

Moderna: The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine has not been approved or licensed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), but has been authorized for emergency use by FDA, under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), to prevent Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) for use in individuals 18 years of age and older.

Jansen: The Janssen COVID‑19 Vaccine has not been approved or licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), but has been authorized by FDA through an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for active immunization to prevent Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID‑19) in individuals 18 years of age and older.

It's splitting hairs though. Not approved but authorized. So the Vax is accessible and it stands to reason that other treatments are on the horizon. Some may exist but aren't new or patented so face financial incentive hurdles.

No worries, just wanted to clarify that not being officially approved doesn't mean that the drug/device/biologic hasn't gone through pre-clinical and clinical testing prior to release to the market. The term 'rushed' is used a lot which is misleading, perhaps a better word is 'prioritized' to help expedite the process.

There is actually a 4th vaccine in the wings, not yet approved for EUA or full marketing approval. The Novovax vaccine uses more conventional tech (similar to existing HepB vaccine) and is expected to receive approval later this year (as well in other countries).

It should also be mentioned that the ACTIV-6 study you reference above is looking at efficacy in treatment of symptoms post-Covid infection, so are not preventative therapies like the vaccines are.

Squatted trucks and straight pipes are dumb. When I was a kid, we jacked up the rears of cars and added slapper bars, wide ovals and cherry bombs. That was dumb too. Kids will be kids and there's a certain amount of dumb that we adults will just have to overlook. The government, on the other hand, and all the stupidity that goes along with "governing" will be the ruin of us all.

I agree, but I have seen some of these trucks and genuinely wondered how they can see where they are going. Would be interesting to see if there is an unusually high rate of accidents for the squatters. I think they look ridic but they probably think the same about everything I drive, wear, listen to, etc and as long as they are having fun, party on Wayne.

I seriously thought "those trucks must be used for downhill racing - that is the only logical explanation" when I moved here. LOL

Oh . .Lifted the front end 1.5" today with the Bilstein 6112 - - so feeling a bit hypocritical, as well!

Pics or it didn’t happen.

Many of you guys are more motor-mechanically versed than I am, so please chime in….

I saw a news story on a local station about these squatted trucks and pending legislation to outlaw them. During the story, they interviewed a “local mechanic” who commented that these truck engines weren’t designed to be kept at these angles and would suffer mechanical stress and premature failure due to fluids not sitting in oil pans as designed etc etc.

Any truth to this or you think the guys was running his gums to be on tv?
