Nice - Are you rebuilding that H55 that you had a while back, then?

Ok. Flipped the 79 bed over. Built a little rolling cart and started drilling 40 spotwelds out. Cut 4 welds and we have a seperated bed ready to be shortened.

Sweet baby Jesus in Swaddling Clothes!!

Eric could this same surgery be done on the tailgate end of the bed,to reduce the amount of over hang?

Sorry for my absence.. Been dealing with a health issue..
One could shorten the back the same way, Yes..
Here's a bit of input i need.. I asked in the 70 series forum as well..
Was hoping to start the actual bed "Mounting" this weekend if i feel up to it. but need to fine tune the location.
79 bed Side question.webp

Well. Tires were on procomp rims a local club member wanted the rims and i wanted stockers. Had a set of hubcap rims blasted and powdercoated black, 2fpower came and grabbed the rims and tires and they are about to be redelivered. Im not in a hurry and just glad they graced his garage this winter and not mine. Some progress. Otherwise have been learning how to sew on a 1942-43 singer walking foot machine.
