I saw a thread a while ago that had some recommendations on tool rolls for carrying in your '80. I cant find it now though, can anyone point me towards it? Or provide recommendations on a tool roll?

Tks!

If you guys are looking for roll up tool bags, check out Atlas 46. I'm confident these are the best money can buy. Still on my wish list. The guys I wheel with all have these bags and it's amazing how many tools you can fit in one.

I second Adventure Tool Company.

Mud supporters, Land Cruiser fanatics and great people offering great products. Paul and Amy are phenomenal.

And hell of a good officer...

Oh wait.... Paul is retired from the force now to concentrate full time on ATC:

I have the Atlas 46 Yorktown. Really well built. Holds a ton of tools. Made in the USA. No contest.

Is Adventure Tool in Nederland? Maybe I can take my harbor freight bag up there and test fit my wimpy tool kit

Where are you tool roll guys putting your big hub socket?

Mine is a pencil holder on my desk. I have a huge set of channel locks that can grip it in a pinch. It's not torqued on much.

I use one of these rolls too to keep the tools organized. It is then put into a 18" soft bag along with my breaker bar, torque wrench, hub socket, 3lb hammer, and a number of other misc things that just don't fit well in a tool roll.

I'm all about supporting the vendors that make this community great, but sometimes the wallet makes me go in other directions.

When I checked it out online I couldn't tell: does it have sleeves for sockets?

The back side is all sleeves. Could work for sockets I suppose, but I think the back sleeves are better for combo wrenches and screw drivers. I put all the sockets in the front.

I feel the same way. I can't justify spending 4x the price for something like this. I was also unemployed for 7 months so there's that... I try to buy from MUD vendors when I can.

I got every kind of socket holder there is and they all suck. That canvas bag looks like a good way to find the one you need. As long as you put them back after use of course.
