Hi all,
first sorry for my English, its not allways 100%, :whoops:
I am from Greece (4x4 paradice) and i do live in Holland and i am also the owner
of a HJ60 from 1985, i have one foto at the register.
I do follow the site a long time :):):) and i got a lot of usefull tips from:)
Please some help here...
I do like the looks and the dash of the 60 and i dont like the front and the dash from the 62....(sorry for the gays who think different):)
i just found one HJ62, turbo:p, and i want to swap the front and the dash......
I want the comfort of the 62 but the look of the 60.
The 1988 62 i found has power windows, airco, lether, power locks, less kms, TURBO and all the rest........

I am not very good in technical issues, i pay or i have good mates:cool:

For the front swap do i have to change the front fenders????
and for the dash? It fits? the gouges??:o airco?

Thanks a lot,
Tolis

To swap from square headlights to round ones, you're going to have to swap the core support and lower valance, along with headlights, grill, headlight doors.

I believe the dash boards are a direct swap between the two trucks, but I am not 100% on that.

Pictures always help:)

Never thought of Greece as 4x4 land but it makes sense! Better than windmills I guess.

Welcome aboard! 60s are way better looking than 62s.

Not like hobby but when you are a farmer( like my father) and you live
somewhere with mountains, rivers and a lot of space. and you have tractors
and a Mitsubishi Pajero (montero i think in de States) .....

then you are in 4x4 paradice.:)

Exactly. As far as I know, the fenders are exactly same.

this week is coming the new HJ61( pictures next week)
I do still want to change the front look from the Hj61 (62 for the states) to the old
school look from the hj60( the one i still have).
Both the car's are 24v, do i have issues with the headlights?
I wil keep the dashboard of the 61/62( i can live with it:))
Anybody did it before?
maybe some pictures?

thanks in advance.

And fenders for [ ][ ] to ( ). At least i believe they are different from 60-62's for the swap.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure the headlight doors are different - which ties into the front corner of the fender.

Trying to double check - looking at $OR's re-pop us and non-us fenders they are 80-87 for 60's only. I'm 99% positive that they don't match up due to headlight doors/corner markers... I'll see if i can find pics.

Crap - missed one little line on SOR's site:
SOR said:
Also fits 8/87-1/90 FJ62 by drilling an extra hole in the fender using one generic sheet metal screw.

so i'm wrong and it should fit fender wise.

that's what i get for being "99%" positive...lol

 You had me second-guessing myself so I looked up the part numbers, which revealed differing numbers, yet the diagrams looked identical. I know I've seen swaps here where guys used the same fenders, so I assumed they were identical so never looked it up.

Either way, it's good to be 100% percent positive.
