Does anyone have any tips on how to shape steel to fit the rear quarter panels? I have some cancer that i would like to cut out and fix but I am not sure how to get the curve to match in the steel. Know many people have done this...curious to see what methods you all used. Thanks for the help!

Have you looked into the BudBuilt quarter panels? Very heavy duty and a good price.

local metal shop rolls mine for 20.00 bucks a pair and i supply them with a template.prior to that there is a slot on the front of my 6x6 between the winch and the bumper ive bent up to 10 gauge using that good luck

These are nice....might have to look at them for my trail rig... not to sure they will be the right fit for my driver... looking for a way to just cut out the bad and put in some new without having to do the entire quarter panel. Any tips on that?

After getting the metal rolled you could step the straight sides to make instalation easier, but you're gonna have to butt weld sometime.Back the joint with all. or brass to help prevent a blowout. Stitch weld it so it wont warp too bad.

Slip roll is what your looking for, any steel supply house should be able to roll it for you cheap.

Not sure if this is a stupid question or not...but when you have a shop roll it how do they match the curve if I can't bring the cruiser in?

Here's an old photo of my cruiser when we did the reskin. For the quarter panels we used a single peice that ran from the seam behind the front door all the way around to the back. We used the tub rail as a guide for the radius as well as the floor that we had welded in place already (sorry no photo). The floor was a single sheet the was bent to include the wheel wells and had the rear corner radius cut in the top of the wheel wells to match the tub rail.

We welded the seam near the front doors and the tacked the quarter panel every inch or so along the tub rail until the rear corner. Then we used a ratchet strap to slowly bend the sheet around the corner, tacking it every inch or so as we went until the corner was completely bent.
