I'm having trouble with setting up my three on the tree it was a floor shift and am converting it back to three one the tree. I have all the linkage set up but am struggling with the slave cylinder set up with the motor mount and linkage. I have a 62 fj40 but using some later model parts. No later then 1967. Anyways. Looking for some pictures of what it should look like and how to mount the slave cylinder to the motor mount I have looked for feeds but can't find

Sorry no pic for you Matthew, but the key is a dual shouldered bolt with a hex in the middle that both secures the slave to the motor mount AND provides the pivot point for the pivot arm. The inner shoulder is for the slave; the outer for the linkage. The arm looks like a small boomerang.

If you don’t get much action here, try posting in the FJ25 forum. A lot of the early 40 owners hang out there.

Cheers

Thanks 65. I kinda get what you are saying. I'm right there when I get back I will take some pics and maybe u can see what I have

I’d love to see this also. Do you have the original ‘62 tranny? I think sometime in ‘63 the shifters went from the side of the tranny to the top. If original your tranny should have side shifters, I think (?).

No its later model. In the late 60s tho for both engine and trans l. F135 tho

I hope you can see what I have going on In the pictures. I have the triangular piece on the outside of slave I'm thinking the other piece goes on the inside mounted to to slave and motor mount. I'm just confused because it doesn't fit without really cranking the slave cylinder up. Let me know your thoughts. Anything will help

Sorry here is the missing part that I think goes on the inside connected to slave and motor mount

I believe your slave is mounted upside down FYI, might just be the way your pics are though.

That's a good one I will try that tomorrow maybe that's why the bracket is off

Yes the other part does go on the inside. I can get pics tmrw if it’s not raining out.

And inside out, as I suspected when I wrote the description.

Ok thanks I'm going mess around with it again today. I will see if I can get better pictures.

I took a couple of photos. Hopefully these will help. I can take more if you need. Let me know.
