Hey Roger, I have done that trip over to frozen head before and they last time I went it had some pucker sections that I am not sure most wagon guys would want to go on. The route around Fodderstack (or was it Little Fodderstack) is tight and will scrape the trucks up and each direction has at least one
Off camber section sure to pucker us wagon guys. I will be at Trailfest and looking for a milder ride. What time you leaving Saturday morning? The typical early start that leaves after lunch?

I hope to get out of camp by 10 AM.
How long ago did you ride that area, I think they did some work on trail last year
Looking at the map I though we might be able to take the north loop and miss the diamond section of 43.

diffs are back in, coil overs installed, still have a ton to do but the list is getting shorter.

Went thru suspension tightening up stuff like ubolts & hi-steer arms. I guess all those trips to the cove did a beatn on them!

Also found my sticker Rance gave me months ago.

Got my rear LCA's cleaned up and painted. Ready to swap in when the rain stops, and my driver's side slider is sitting on my front porch drying. Passenger side still bare, gonna try and get it tomorrow between rain drops and my little :princess: 3rd B-day party.

I've made a lot of head way on my list. After the recent test run (the :princess: went with) it was mentioned to me that I "need" a roll cage. Got one ordered and just need to install it. I have a few other things that needed tending like a long overdue oil change and a valve cover gasket. Also snatched the hubs off to clean up and rebuild.

Pretty much ready to go except for the cage!

No need to brag about being all ready and stuff.... :p

Actually, I am glad you got'er done. Gives me hope that I might actually get there myself.

Not trying to brag and certainly the cage is no small feat. :hillbilly:

And you'll be ready. Before the test run I was replacing PS hoses at like 4 and needed to load the truck up at 5:30. We always seem to find a way.

Stupid rain! Truck is in the yard so making any headway is weather dependent.... hopefully it will clear out this afternoon and I can get a few things done tomorrow.

Finally comfortable with the diff build. Almost install time!

My prep is off topic compared to the rest of you ...

Sunday morning after GSMTR is the Tour de Cure ride for diabetes which Carolyn and I are riding in. Consequently, our bikes need to be ready for the Tour and then the Cruiser ready for GSMTR. So the bikes got new tires this morning, then chain/cassett/derailer needed to be cleaned and lubed.

Once that was done, I repaired the mower and finished the lawn.

Tomorrow, the BJ should at the head of the line for work (& about time). ACC rebuilt the injectors last week and the truck is running so strong that I will be cutting the fuel volume on the injector pump to help boost the MPGs (currently @ 21 but she might yield 2-3 more now).

Got it out of the shop and took it for a spin (first time since dec) everything feels really good, got to get a few miles on change the gear oil. Put the skid plates back on and a few other small things but I think I'm ready. I hate not being able to take it on any kind of shake down run but I just won't have time.

Sent from my detachment from reality.

Quit your bragging! :flipoff2:

Chris, no bragging here. The 21mpg that I have been getting with this engine is a disappointment when compared to the 23-24mpg that the other 3B yielded.
If you need a fix in the opposite direction; Our '95 FZJ80 sill gets around 13 after throttle body cleaning, new plugs, new wires, new tranny filter & oil, valve cover gasket, distributor o-ring and new front seat covers. The seat covers have nothing to do with performance, but it did cost me a lot so I thought it might make you feel a little better.

something to tell the wife everyday
:bang: Clearly I am not very bright ... I should have picked my words better.

I just ordered a part to fix my steering so i guess i have finally started getting mine ready for GSMTR.

White Knuckle sliders drying out front. Hope to install one night this week.
