I haven't decided either way yet, I would love to check out one or both of your diesels and pick your brain about the pros and cons. Right now I am desperately trying to get a detached shop built on my property so I can begin working on this. I am having a hard time even getting bids right now.

I guess I'll throw this out there, I'm brand new to the SD area, @chap79, @Martyt or @BreckenridgeCruiser if you guys know of a good general contractor I'm all ears, the ones I have found on my own haven't been that great.

@badsamaritan I am in the same spot with building a shop/garage. I have a builder or two I know but they are more residential guys. Are you looking to build stick or more concrete/steel?
I am out of town until the 1st of Nov, but will be dropping the tranny on the 44 when I get back. Come by for a chat and to take a look at the setup.

@BreckenridgeCruiser, My house is wood with stucco and a tile roof. I would like a detached 3 car that matches the house. I'd love to have your guys come out and take a look if you think they're a fit.

Much appreciated, I am ready to pull the trigger immediately if the numbers work out. I'm also willing to wait a bit if need be.
It’ll be worth waiting for a good builder. Some of the work I’ve seen recently has been total s***e.

I have been tinkering here and there, and making a parts list for the upgrades. I went through and greased a lot of the steering components which seemed to help a bit. Unfortunately something broke on my other project car and I didn't get much farther, but I did take some pictures of some things I could use a hand in identifying.
I have an appointment to meet with an architect on Tuesday to get some blue prints made. This should help me with bids, as well as getting the permit process started. Here's a shot of the house from above as it looks now

Ok Guess that part time.....any idea what this is? It's on the driver's side fender. No markings on it, but it looks like it connects to the factory wiring harness
