The OEM Horn is embarrassing for this truck

I got PIAA bass horns. 330hz + 400hz. Did a little bit of wiring but used stock wire. Sounds deep, nice and loud. A lot of people use FIAMM freeway blaster horns but they were still too high pitch for me. You can hear what the PIAA horns sound like on PIAA's website or YouTube.

I have the Hella Supertones. I'm happy with them. Some people don't like them because they sound European (think loud Mercedes horns). They were mostly plug and play.. I think I made a little ground jumper for them.

Anyone running air powered train or big rig horns? That is what I'm hoping to do at some point. I want a super loud deep tone and based on what I've heard from sound clips of the Hella horns, they aren't a low enough tone for my liking.

Only upside to the stock horns is that I can honk at people and they assume it came from a small vehicle somewhere else.

What you need is a horn that plays Dixie.

That's... Not good. You can put train horns on the cruiser easily but you need an air compressor and it gets expensive. My PIAAs are nice and deep, about as loud as you can get from standalone horns (113db).

Definitely can be done

Look for 4 note horns from old Cadillacs.

Perfect ... just bought them. I assume I will need a relay since the factory horns have constant current?

Sorry for the hijack Dino

Highly recommend the JDM 200 series “premium” horns. Part number is 08522-60010. Plug and play.

The factory horn is just fine. I scared the s*** out of some idiot standing in the middle of the road taking a photo of his girlfriend sitting on the hood of his G-Wagon. When did horn sound become testosterone booster?

I want my horn loud enough so the dip**** INSIDE his car with the windows up and his stereo blasting, while texting and talking on the phone with his ear buds in can hear me because he pulled out in front of me!

@thatcabledude @inkpot ... I have the 2 wire 4-note Cadillac horns. Do I just wire up the one wire to power and the other to a common ground on those and they should be good?

Probably, but I’m not sure. I’d definitely run a relay. Always wanted a set, but have never got around to finding some.
