I did basically the same thing. My youngest son left his '87 Taurus wagon home while he was in the USAF. I swapped horns. I like the American sound of the Ford horn - reminded me of my Dad's Pontiac station wagon when I was a kid. It worked out pretty cool for him, too. He had the only Taurus in the world with a Land Cruiser horn.
