are you good on your timing advance?

Yeah, like I posted, drove the truck after timing it at 9 degrees at 950 rpm. Just a bit advanced. Idle is at about 550rpm and smooth. That is about where I was running it since I have a Weber. Although, I learned that these trucks will run at just about anywehre in the spectrum from right on 0 to about 22 degrees.

I'm an a******. #6 was not plugged in.

But compression is good. About 125 across the board.
Drove it and it still seemed a little sheepish. Maybe because it has been a while. I got it up to 65 on the speedo which is 70 something with the 35s. That is faster than I would normally drive it so I think I am satisfied. That will allow me to get to most places we may need to go to find dirt.

35's? You were going 78 if you have stock gearing. Factory tires were about 29". ;)

One little drop of 90W from the tranny on the floor. I can live with that. That tranny is beat to s***. One day I will pull it and rebuild it and the Xfer case but right now I am going to focus on finishing the doors and then the top.

I got the headlights adjusted too. one is halogen and one is, well, not

Thanks. I am sure I could Google it...whats the computation?

Found this:

Calculating Actual Speed
To calculate actual speed with larger tires, use the following equation: new tire diameter times speedometer-indicated speed divided by old tire diameter equals actual speed in miles per hour. As an example, 36 inches times 55 mph divided by 28 inches equals 70.7 mph.

65mph x 35 / 29 = 78

I think I'm good. I will get a cop buddy to shoot me with radar one of these days and tell me how I'm doing.

you got a fancy phone...but you still have holes in your gloves????? :D:flipoff2:

The pasenger side had a bit of a ding that had been filled with a considerable amount of filler so I sanded it all out as it was cracked and replaced it.

I also spent about three and a half hours cleaning up the shop.

And then put that thing back in.

Sure wish I could find a reasonable body man.
