I wanted to point this video out to new guys - these are good examples of what not to do with an ATRAC equipped truck. Notice how they let off they keep letting off the throttle after 1 second? ATRAC works best with consistant throttle starting around 1500 rpm and going up in increments of 150 rpm to get you over the obstacle.

You should not let wheelspin get out of hand but ATRAC cannot work if you dont give some gas!

Recent wheeling trip to Adventure Off-road Park in Chattanooga TN. Great time. Silver one is mine. Red one is my buddies, which is bone stock but 285/75/16 KO2s. Coming from Wranglers the LC impressed the crap out of me. Even the stock one with attac impressed me

That was a painful video to watch, from the driving to the sound, but you're right, everyone has to start somewhere and if they can learn a little from others before they get on the trail then all the better :hillbilly:

That hill looks pretty gnarly though, steep/abrupt angle and loose dirt to go up.

Here is another video from a recent trip through Lockhart basin. You can see the TR in my build thread for more (link is in the signature).

Great edit! Did you happen to get any video of overcoming that rough spot at the end?

How is your camera mounted in such a way that it seems solid, but then we see the truck moving slightly within the frame, as if the mount has some sort of flex to it?

I think what you are referring to is the Video stabilization of the GoPro Hero5. And maybe my smooth driving skillz? I'll work on getting some shots of how its mounted.

@TTownEP , I've had several similar questions about how I mount this camera so I put together a quick video of it. Its very simple and it's easy to operate from that position. I do use other mounting locations, but this one seems to be my favorite for the time being. I hope it helps you get some more good clips from your 100 or any vehicle really.

I think you must be right about it being the GoPro's image stabilization. It's cropping and moving the image to maintain it. Pretty neat. There's no way the mirror is moving independently from the body so much. I guess the newest GoPro models are really working that effect to the max. Thanks for sharing!
