I wanted to point this video out to new guys - these are good examples of what not to do with an ATRAC equipped truck. Notice how they let off they keep letting off the throttle after 1 second? ATRAC works best with consistant throttle starting around 1500 rpm and going up in increments of 150 rpm to get you over the obstacle.
You should not let wheelspin get out of hand but ATRAC cannot work if you dont give some gas!

How is your camera mounted in such a way that it seems solid, but then we see the truck moving slightly within the frame, as if the mount has some sort of flex to it?
I think you must be right about it being the GoPro's image stabilization. It's cropping and moving the image to maintain it. Pretty neat. There's no way the mirror is moving independently from the body so much. I guess the newest GoPro models are really working that effect to the max.
