Were you at wot or just idling? I have had water in my interior up to the bottom of the Dash, hit it hard that night ripped the interior out and never had a problem. Since and that was 2 years ago.

If you were low rpms there is a good chance you just pull the plugs, turn it over and she starts right up.

I pulled apart my intake and took all filters out and as soon as I disconnected the intake tube from the engine block, a large stream of oily water began pouring out of the block. Also, when I pulled the oil dip stick there were a lot of water bubbles on it. I'm having it looked at and first they have to make sure the engine can still run, then they have to test the Engine Control Module to make sure all the connections aren't going to rust.

1999 136k miles has some rust spots all relating to the running boards - they will be coming off this week and I am putting the 285/75/16 STT's off my 93 onto this one...looking forward to reading all about these!

18% 3m Tint.
Clear Turn indicators.
Plastidiped grills, moldings and emblems.
BIOR Step Sliders.
OME 2.5" HD Lift.
BIOR Diff. Drop.
(5) 2014 Tundra TRD Wheels 18x8.
(5) Wrangler DuraTrac AT's 275/75/18.
Full interior overhead LED conversion.

Have a ton of fun with it. More mods to come over the next year.

@BJTLC100 It's very dark. It is my understanding that the factory tint is 18%. I opted to wrap the either truck in 18% and as you can see the rears are very very dark. All of my cars in the past have been very dark so I'm fairly used to it. It does look awesome. thanks or the kudos!

Update: Well after sinking my Hundy in a creek 2weeks ago and sucking water into my intake and engine block, I finally heard back and the engine did NOT seize! I was amazed and it even surprised everyone working at the dealership. They flushed all the fluids, changed my oil about 3 times, differential, power steering, brake, etc...They started her and when the pistons went in their upstroke it expelled even more water out of the engine block and intake then stalled. They continued drying her and started it again and she ran perfectly! No abnormal sounds indicating bent pistons or rods and she purred smoothly just under 1000rpms. After letting her run for about 4min they cut it off and checked the engine control module to see if she still had her brain and miraculously it did! They will continue drying and flushing as much water out as they can and I should be able to bring her home next week. Just proves how much of a beast Cruisers really are!!

The photos below show how the day WAS going - crossing a few creeks, taking a couple pics, and showing off my wheel travel - and how it ended up after hitting a patch of sand on the edge of the creek and it sliding out from under me bringing the car down into deeper water.

I think they're standard issue, seen plenty of Australian delivered 100's with them. Not sure if you got different ones over there.

Really, there aren't many vehicles out there engineered for a third world lifecycle, sold into a first-world market, with few if any major mechanical changes. These things certainly are beasts. Now, I think you need to take a few weeks and vacation in
Arizona to properly dry the vehicle. If there's any moisture in it anywhere, a week or so in the desert will pull it out at the molecular level.
