@Bama4door PRETTY SURE that's the Crystal Mountain overlook on Winona trail? Can't quite tell because of the angle. If so, that's a very nice spot indeed. We were very close to there ourselves. Bet it was COLD up there!

@ntsaint Bingo, nice eye! It was pretty chilly, but we had a ton of firewood and enough brown water to keep us warm.


I'm surprised we didn't bump into you guys, we were all over the Oauchitas all weekend. We were thinking about doing the Ozarks, but changed our mind at the last minute. Nice pics too!

Looks familiar...I took the long way home last week to check out the view.

That spot is more popular than I thought then! It is a gorgeous overlook that you should definitely checkout if you have the time to, I just wasn't sure how many people were familiar with it but glad to know it's not kept a secret!

It's a pretty popular spot. But am very surprised to see someone from out of state up there. I tried to camp up there one weekend and found some people in a Honda Civic and a Subaru camping .

Just did a 1000 mile trip in the LX to move from NY back to NC with about ~600 lbs of stuff in the back. Gotta love a well functioning AHC system to self level with all the extra weight!

Guess it's a trail-rig now. Spent several years abusing my son's locked 80 with little more than a few trail stripes and now on the second time out in "my" 100 a tree bit me. Wasn't even trying to keep up with my boy, took the chicken route around a big ledge and front slid to the right off a small ledge into a tree. Cheap Chinese snorkel actually saved me from a more significant issue. Guess I need to learn how to drive A-Trac
