Coolest truck at SAS8 😍😍😍

Thanks for the supportive comments and kind words. I was discussing it with my wife and she thinks I should sell the 80 rather than the 45. I think I am going to list the 80 for sale as soon as I get the last bug on the motor swap worked out. Set the possible sale of the 45 on the back burner.

Edit: At the moment, it does not look like I need to sell either rig.

Due to some unexpected events The Milk Truck will be my daily driver for the summer. Nothing to complain about. It runs great but I do wish I had the AC running. I will be running with the windows down a lot.

Let me know if you are passing through Creede around August 8th or 9th. I’d like to run up to Phoenix Falls when I come into town for supplies.
August 8th and 9th would be after SAS. You are attending SAS right? I would be up for that run, I can’t say for sure if that is how I will travel out after the event but let’s stay in touch and try to make it happen.

I will be at SAS assuming that my Cruiser is ready. Let’s play it by ear. I will need to come over Wolf Creek Pass with the camper after SAS and head back towards the east side of Stony Pass. I’ll probably stock up on supplies in Creede.

The original plastic lock lever split today.

I needed a fix to be able to lock the doors. I had ordered these blue aluminum knob’s (Smatree) off of Amazon a while ago but never used them.

I attempted to turn the stud out but it snapped off, So I drilled it out to fit the lock shank and then drilled a hole for the set screw. I did this for both doors. They will work until I find something better.

Seems like someone should be able to 3d print those? Good solution until then though.

I could not lock the driver door with the key after removing it. Every time I turned the cylinder just enough to remove the key it positioned the stop just right, so the door handle could force it down to open the door.

I welded a little catch to the door handle to prevent the lever from turning the stop down after the door is locked with the key removed.

That part could be a problem for the split ambulance doors if it is not available.
