The wife scheduled a professional photographer to do some family pics. We snuck in a few without the family in it.

Did you take any pictures of your rear gate in the making? I bought two old doors and wanted to do the same thing.

There are a few pics on page 3 of this thread. I basically welded the seam solid down the middle. Welded plates on each side to line up with the holes for the existing ambulance door hinges

Here is a pic of the tab I welded to the bottom to sit in the lower door catch.

Have you sourced/installed seals for the barn doors? Truck looks great!

No seals on that tailgate made from the barn doors. Figure, what's the point? with no top on it anyway. When the top goes on I'll be putting the amby doors back on. hopefully soon, it's getting pretty damn cold in GA. There is a rubber gasket in between the tailgate and the tub where it's bolted on, but that's it. It just sits in the lower door catch - pic above.

Couple of questions....

1.) clutch master is leaking a few drops in the interior floor. not much. The clutch master is the original one with a rebuild kit. Time for a new one or is there another way to fix this? I've read that the bore gets some rust pitting and even with new seals in rebuild kit it just wont seal properly. any other thoughts or am I ordering a new one tomorrow?

2. Brake master cylinder is new Aisan. I am losing fluid from the rear reservoir only, but there are no signs of leaking in the floor or anywhere else I can find. I assume it's leaking into the booster?? I know the booster is bad, pretty strong hissing sound when I press the brake, so a new one from @Racer65 is on my list. Is the new brake master cylinder bad also? Thoughts?

ooster from @Racer65 arrived today. Double boxed & well packaged. Easy install using the instruction on his website.

Holy crap what a difference in braking. Great product.

Really easy job... Thanks @Racer65 for the great product & quick service.

Man your Cruiser is so perfecto even the old part removed is detailed!

wish it worked as good as it looks :frown: Oh well. Probably only worth the cost of the new check valve I put in it.

In other news, the new clutch master cylinder came in - weekend project I hope.

Not sure if I missed it. Did any significant time pass between the painting of the different body parts?

Sadly, yes. Too much time passed. But we had all of the paint mixed at one time so everything would match. We did pick up an extra quart along the way - used it on underneath side of the hood and few other places where a less than perfect match wouldn't be noticed.

Great build man!!!

I think you have helped me decide to repaint mine back to freeborn red. The interior is still freeborn but the previous owner painted the exterior "cardinal red or colonial red" I do actually like the outside collor but id really like it back to all OG

You can see its just a bit darker then freeborn. Its also a very flat color.

I am moving slow. I want to paint as I get the doors and hardtop repaired. Mine is Dune Beige. Hopefully everything will match. Nice job. Thx
