So my windshield wiper harness was just cut off at the Tub 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷‍♂️. I received this today in the mail 😃 a genuine custom made harness from coolerman 👍. Thank you .

So on today’s episode of make it right 🤦🏻‍♂️. I set out to have windshield wipers . New wiper switch. Check New Oe Wipers check New wire harness from Coolerman check I had to undo the hard top 🤦🏻‍♂️. Starting to really question myself on having a hard top 😖. I think I have more invested in the top and doors than I have in the entire build 🤮. And it’s still not painted 😞. O well . Anyways I was able to get the new wires routed in place 👍. Some new hardware arrived today also I got the complete SS kit for the hardtop since every bolt on it just breaks when you touch it. So I am replacing everything 😤. I think I have reached the point I just want everything nice now on this build.

Anyone have any good ideas for what i could use for a heater ? I have the stock heater and blower but i have my battery mounted were the blower goes and i dont want to dig into that rabbit hole :hmm:. Maybe a small electric fan ? i could mount into the duct :hmm: :hmm:

I got a rear heater from a 62 (IIRC) they are small and self contained.
Peeszy can i run just the rear heater ? I have never had one so not sure how they work . I have the under dash one In fact i just bolted it in but have no way to make it blow . Maybe put a computer fan in the duct or something ? I have a few snow trips planned and thinking some heat would be nice

Thats why I got the rear from the 62, hook water & power, done. Fan, switch, water valve all built into unit and the output vent can easily have a duct riveted onto the housing to direct air, check e-bay or call Gary at Mudraks or Georg. Let me look in the shed, might still be in there, took out cause no top and never used.
You can mount it anywheres you like. It would fit on inside under glove box IMO, I also used that spot for my enigne comp when going LS. Drop your defrost ducts to a Y and then rivet a snout onto heater output 1/2 covering it, then build duct, I used an extra 1 1/2 " shut off valave from the RV and made a valve to shut defrost on/off, hooked to dash pull, the RV valve needed some grease so dash pull would operate but worked well.

My little red 71 had the rear heater but i never even tried it .

Last night i replaced every single bolt on the. hard top to new Stainless steel bolts . There are a lot of bolts on a hardtop . I cant wait to take it all apart again :bang: to pull the cage out and paint the top . But at least it should go pretty easy then . Now that its starting to become a little more domesticated i will probably get a headliner for it so it looks cleaner or maybe i can get it Line -X ? I need to think about that

The rear heater from the 40 is not the same, totally different, did you put anti sieze on the stainless ? If not I'd go back and do it.

No since its all coming back apart. i just wanted to get everything fit Before paint But i agree i anti seize just about everything even though she only comes out of the garage on rare occasions :)
