This works for my frame stuff. So I can touch it up .

Worked on some little things today . I got the center overhead panel mounted Still looking for a good light. . I ordered a panel to mount 3 switches also . I also dug out my fan blower just to see if it even works. And it does 🤦🏻‍♂️. This is making me inch more towards relocating my battery 🤮. If only it was easy to find a spot 🤔.

So now that i have the hip guards in i am kinda regretting them :frown:. They make it kinda a pain to get in and out . That i can live with but it hard to get to the handle to open the doors and i did not even pay attention to it but i can not flip my seat up now to open the tool box :bang: .Of coarse i have them all welded in now and will be a real pain to cut out and clean up :hmm:. So i need to think about these .

Ok I think this is the work around for these side bars .

I have decided to cut the hip guards . I will first cut them so i can add couplers but my guess is i will end up just cutting them out completely :bang: its just a pain to get in and out . Cant open anything and more than likely i will never run with out doors so i can chalk this up as a expensive failure

I've seen hip guards that opened together with the door. They had a hinge in the front, connected to the door with a kind of swaybar link, and had a solid piece of steel to push against in the back.

The bigger issue is it is hard to open the door with them in place. . Just a all around pain . Lesson learned

They do make swing outs. The guys with drag cars use them.
If it worked out for you, you could at least keep them and only use when the doors are off.
I think i will just put coupling on them and i can put them in if i ever run with no doors

Better than cuttting them off and going to scrap for sure. The swing out hardware is almost the same. Hinge pin and a quick release pin. No tools needed. The door slammer's that have to have a legal cage use them. Especially for a street driven car. Gets old climbing over that bar.

I know whatever you do, it's gonna look good.

Man I am starting to feel like the nicer I try to make this the less I am liking it 😞. Since I put the heater back in ( at this point it’s just for looks 🤦🏻‍♂️) I figured I needed to get the connection between the heater and the duct . 😃. It arrived yesterday and at first glance. 🤔. Looks like a kindergartner made it in craft class 👎. Being optimistic I think maybe I just need to install it and they made it like that for a reason 🤷‍♂️. So after install My thoughts are what a complete POS and waste of money . It is not a good fit at all and actually could be another 3/4 of an inch longer. But since they cut it crooked there is not a lot holding it on . Junk . I will not be making any more purchases from this company 👎

I also cut out the hip guards 😃. Best thing I have done all week . I think I have a good way of doing them. But for rt now I am leaving them out . When I do them if I lower them it lets me open my doors 😃. These are positive things 😃. I will add some couplings and they will be good
