@weejub -
At the risk of sounding like a broken record - I’m going to offer the “AR-x for every occasion” idea.

Cost effective, and you choose the barrel length you want.
For extra compact-ness, you can go to a folder hinge ahead of the buffer tube/pistol brace.

You could tailor the thing to exactly the length/accuracy compromise you want & now you can choose between Glock or the classic AR-9 Colt stick mags.
(I have Colt, not as ‘tacticool’ as Glock, but the last round bolt catch works when Glock doesn’t nearly as well)

And it is 18,000x more accurate than my Intratec
But that wasn’t bought for anything but giggles.

Just an idea.

A full length example of the Colt style:

YT vid / bottom of page has Glock mags IIRC.

But their 9mm lowers w/ Colt pattern aren’t that $$$

I have two AR's atm. They are my "rifles." Love them. Have owned 5 others if you include the Armalite AR 10, another "match grade barreled" 308, another 300blk, and two other 5.55/223.

Also, I've owned a AR-9 - was OK - but didn't enjoy the feel of it - the way the clips fit, etc. It was a Gen 1 from Lonewolf - I am sure there are better out there now.

Lot to think about. Thanks for the info!

I have a CZ Scorpion and KelTek sub-2000... both tick a lot of your checklist boxes and are a ton of fun to shoot. The sub-2000 requires an aftermarket bracket (I got the M-Carbo) to use a dot sight and still be able to fold the gun.

A lot of good options out there for PCC's today. But by far, the most fun I have shooting is a M&P 15-22 pistol with a suppressor... literal lol

Looked at both "on the internet." The CZ looks a lot bigger in pictures, but specs say it is the same length and only 1 lb heavier.

Have you seen that KelTek CQB? Its an integrated suppressed 2000 - - not sure if those need NFA paperwork or not - most do - I'm kinda done/tired of doing that, honestly. Fold up would be so nice for travel, etc.

Edit: Kel-Tek requires a stamp fwiw.

@JohnVee $0.12/rd for S&B brass 9mm....man...I just got a little sick after seeing that one! :crybaby:

@weejub If you're wanting to branch out from the AR platform (which is definitely consistent from a manual of arms perspective), check out B&T. They're definitely top tier in engineering, execution, and unfortunately price. I try not to look at their stuff as I always end up buying something for......reasons. The APC is one hell of a gun and sounds like something which would merit consideration. Check it out as it comes with a 3 lug barrel from the factory and its lowers can be compatible with their magazines or standard glock depending on which model you get.

I would stay away from any gunsmith willing to take a die to your barrel unless you can verify first hand their prior work. That's a one way street which could end in disappointment quite easily.

I have known guys with Stribog's who have sold them to get a B&T APC. I'm sure you'll find something that suits what you're looking for!

OMG - That company is crazy - I love their PDW line - that is what I was trying to do with the Glock 17, but it just got weird.

I'll have to look at all that stuff in detail, too. Thanks!!

Speaking of tax stamp - My existing gun trust is still set up in KS - Anyone know someone who could help me move it to NC for a reasonable price? The last guy I approached wanted $750 - I paid $150 to start it in KS :(

Forgot to ask - what case is that?

Looks nice, I just don’t want to pay Pelican $$

Anybody need some big boy rounds for their hand cannon? Found these in Virginia today.

Geebus, 440 grain LOL - Let's see . . can I get that in a PCC . . .

Let's get real - I fired a 44 Mag a couple times, and each time I decided I was a big pussy - - so NO SIR - I'll stick to my "3-round burst" 9mm training - still wouldn't be putting 440g down range, though :)

Let me add and try to gain some "man cred" back - - if anyone has one of those bear killer AR's with like, what, 454 or 458 (or 500) . . .I'd love to shoot one of those.

I have a Marlin 444. I can shoot it about twice before I've had enough.

Disregard - I found the gun online - pretty cool, but can see what you mean!
