From what I see there you should wire brush/wheel that down and POR it. These guys have it right.

Looks like if it was local someone liked to drive in the surf and not wash off!

Ok sounds good ... the pics I posted have been treated already ... pretty much from the rear axle to the hitch has be wire wheeled or brushed ... I only used a thick under coat spray though ...
I'll look into getting some POR for the rest of it though thanks guys ...
Iv got a friend with a lift at his house ... I may go spend an even over there cleaning , and treating everything I can get to

Do you have plans for a roof rack? I like the price of the SSS rack but I plan to put a RTT on it and the rails would make it sit too high. Curious if they could do one without the rails or shorter rails. Thought you may have an idea.

I plan on making my own roof rack ... Iv been having a design idea for a rack in my head for awhile now ... It's all aluminum ... really similar the AllPro FJ roof rack but a lil lower profile ... I thought of using 1" or 1.5" T-slot for cross bars to make the rack really versatile ...and Like the All pro it would have a few different panels that can be interchanged for different light applications

SSS will make any style roof rack you request if what they have isn't what your looking for ... if your gonna do a RTT ... i would just go with no rails if the RTT is a permanent fixture.... If you wanna have your cake and eat it to you can do a design than is a flat deck for a RTT and when the Tent isnt on you could bolt rails on or something so its kind modular ... or have rails on part of the rack without the RTT ... anythings possible really

A sneAK peak of my sliders in the works ... Kevin and Matt over at Southern Style Speed did a great job copying what I drew on paper ... i think they are a lil diff than anything iv seen so far ...and when the other is build I'll be finishing the fabrication ...mounting this to 2x2 square tubing , mounting structure, and plating the steps with dimple grip inserts

Of any slider really.
Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System
(KDSS) sliders? ... you wanna expound a little on that idea ?o_O... would "comfort mode" be running boards and "sport mode" be rock sliders?:hmm:...
or are you talk about something else

All of the Sliders I have seen are made for non kdss equipped rigs. I would really like to see a set that was also offered for kdss equipped rigs, without having to modify them.

I think he means the KDSS models have hoses ect.. attached to the frame where the sliders would mount on a non KDSS model
Oh i got ya ...sorry excuse my ignorance Parish ... I was having a hard time connecting why the two effected each other ... im pretty sure mine came with kdss ... i guess we'll see if i have any issues

Adventure Driven's GX has OPOR sliders. They cut / welded the middle bracket on the driver's side to make them fit. Passenger side is fine.

I agree, it'd be nice to have ones that bolt on with no modification, but it's not a huge deal to make them work. :)

Followed ya back on instagram brother!

If you have KDSS, there is a huge KDSS pump mounted under the driver side that interferes with the slider mount legs. People have cut and moved that one mount in the way in order to get it to mount. Since you are building sliders one off from scratch, that won't be a problem for you. Slider design looks good, I dig the dual kickout style!
