Last year's pumpkins were composted (poorly), grew, and over took part of yard. There are a few this size ready to harvest.

One of my new weekly duties - weeding this truffle farm. The hazelnut (and oak) trees were inoculated and planted six years ago. First harvest should be next month. Gonna be a lot of digging, if everything has gone right...

I intentionally did not plant an edible garden this year (the medicinal garden is still kicking, though) but did get this volunteer. Due to its uncomfortably close proximity to dog fence I'm going to assume it's pumpkin... 🤢

The paw paw trees are kickin', too. (So are the weedy violets, but they did get good use this spring)

Paw paw tree!!!! Nice. How many years before they bear fruit? I would love to grow some Paw Paw, but I think it needs to be a bit higher elevation than Raleigh, does that sound right?

@AJR partner said they will grow there as well. I believe it'll be close to a decade before I see anything.

First harvest of superhots. About a pound each of ghost peppers and seven-pot peppers. 76 of each.

Looking good Will! Was wondering when you moved in.

Great day to be out in the garden with the light rain today.finished the driveway edging and planted a bunch of carex along drive and repotted and moved around several containers. Taking Friday off for a nursery tour cost me a bunch of money lol

That potted cedar in the first pic looks really unique, what’s it called? Your mully (sp?) grass looks great...love this time of year when they shoot up the plumes.
