Got this kit from Dave/4+Plus/lcwizard. It is designed to go where the blue circle is. This frame has been boxed, making that spot less accessible, so we modified the plates and moved it forward to the furthest rearward inside frame hole.

Looks good, is ~8" back, should provide plenty of room? Before we installed the tube, poured some paint in, taped up the ends and rotated it all around, so it is fully painted inside.

Welded it enough to hold the frame rails, with most of the parts in place, to allow good measurements, get an idea of the needed room. There wasn't much room for welding.

Look, 8 cents a pound!

Then cut the old tube out and have the old trans/transfer ready to come out, when that is done, will fully weld and paint it.

Looks like there is room for the exhaust to run over the new tube? That combined with moving the tube forward, may allow the muffler to fit between the tube and shocks?

The interior is mostly out,,, again. The tank still needs to come out to get the tunnel cover out. It's been butchered, cut in half, which is OK, we will be further butchering it.

Negative - that one in the photo above is the rear...

The rear has been eating bushings, but not spring pins...

That pin is the last remaining grease-able one on the rig. So, suspect, or an optical delusion.

What brand of grease did you use on this thing, black, guessing moly? I want to know so I never use it! Get near it, spray with the pressure washer, etc, it jumps on and instantly bonds itself to skin, hair, etc, requiring multiple scrubbings, wire brush, etc, to remove!
