I hope those guys had a good lunch. That's a lot of real estate to process. :)

Got our housing back from the blaster.

The washer for the auged out hole is no big deal. But the nut welded inside there is completely stripped.

Probably going to cut this one apart to fix it.

I changed my mind, I am not harvesting parts to fix this, I am making new pieces to fix it. The nut I have new from Toyota already.

Got to walk away from it for a little while, need to go wash out axle parts and move the frame into the shop.

Cheers

Pretty. Much easier on the bench than in the frame.

As I am sure you know, it’s not an uncommon issue on 80’s. I predict as axles/housings become more and more expensive and harder to find rebuilding this mount will become more common. Cruisers and 80’s are some of the best vehicles ever made but after decades even they need some fixes.

Cheers

That frame looks FRESH!

Once the body is back from blasting I think we'll turn a big corner on this build. From destruction, to construction.

Seeing a 100% fresh rolling chassis is going to be awesome.

Stoked to see all those parts come to use. Funny I ordered a lot of those in my LAST deployment. Now, here I am on my second deployment of the year 😬

No wife, no kids and good investments (aside from Land Cruisers).

It’s the only reason I can be a Cruiser mechanic. Tesla stock has been on my list for awhile. With all the rave over the new truck I may be a year to late.

Cheers
