Hey guys - don't mean to crash the thread, but you're all in the pac northwest and I'm rolling through your hood in early April. Will be trying to do some SF area get together thing on April 4 (Saturday) then hanging around NOrcal and going up through Oregon and Washington the following week. I like beer and land cruisers. If either of those sounds appealing, let's meet up. PM me or drop a line on my cross country thread.

Either way, have a great time at Rubithon.

scotty, the problem is low geared rig walks through everything, you actually make better time than the groups that have to stop while each rig is spotted through every obstacle. That said one of my best trips was in my dual case FJ40 with a group of 80 wagons. As with most things in life it's all about your attitude.

Andy, think you will have a toy box by the run?

Dylan, Why don't you camp at Wentworth and drive over to Loon Wednesday Morning, via Ellis creek?

One more day till registration??!!

What are you guys bringing for a loo?

How much water and where, how to carry?

I have the typical 5-6 gal military style jugg is this enough for the week?

Also has anyone used thier stock non CV joint rear driveline on a SOA?

Clint

If you get your first dent, is it ok to walk off and have a moment or two? Just want to make sure cause I will need them.:crybaby:

Also, if everyone from Oregon will agree to fix my truck when I break it, I will buy you dinner at subway.

All you should need is lots of rear driveshaft parts :)

Any chance of getting a registration link posted up or letting us know were to go to sign up?

Thanks Clint, that's what I needed.

It's funny-the last time I was on a run with Port62's wagon, the rear driveshaft broke on the trail! Bring a couple of spares!

I would love to have a toybox as well. not too sure it will fit the time frame or budget this year.

At least I will have front locker and lower gears to help.

What gears do you have or are you going with?
(I see your sig line but didn't know if you were referring to different gears than those.)

I'm about 90% going. Unfortunately my FJ62 just got destroyed so I'll bring the FJ40. It needs the 3FE swapped on, the H42/toybox/split case installed, and a Metal Tech family cage installed, so yeah I'm sure I'll be at it up until the hour we hit the road.

I might try to tag along with the wagons, or do Mudrak's run or just wing it like usual. Going to drive the 40 down this year instead of trailering.

I am going with 4.88's and a second ARB locker for the front. I figured with the H55F and 35's it will still be low geared though not stupid low like I wanted. I am assuming the clutch will be getting a bit of the workout on this trip.

You need to do the wagon run this year. I know that I will appreciate all the familiar faces as possible while on this trail!

I'm thinking about doing the same thing if the toybox doesn't show up. 4.88s and an h55. I just put in the 4.11s and don't want to have to switch them out but hopefully the toybox shows up.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya. I know that there are a few others out there that want them as well. Not too much time left to get things buttoned up and tested before the run!
