Compressor Wheels and Housings have arrived!
Minty fresh fully customized housings and billet compressor wheels.

The compressor wheels are not the cheap ones, there is a ton of technology built into these things.
Everything is "Third order surface". Cast is third order surface. Though these are far from stock wheels.
The wheels have more surface area, they are lighter in weight to the stock CT26 cast (which is smaller than these) and more efficient than their stock cast models. Garrett and Borg Warner use this technology in their turbos.

Fully customized turbine wheels and housings hit production yesterday.
Parts will bolt to the CT26 CHRA.
Even at a cheaper price point than other options available

Overall its another option if your wanting more performance out of your cruiser.
These things will be able to handle 30lbs of boost if desired.
Stay tuned for updates.

This is really cool. I have a piled up hdt turbo on the bench. The compressor wheel is chewed up. This seems like it could fix it up for a project!

there are avenues to go depending on what you want to do.
1)Options ranging from building a turbo from the parts and getting it balanced yourself
2)Getting a shop to build and balance a turbo
3)Buying a built turbo ready do drop in.

I guess it would fully depend on how much you trust your turbo builder and the balancing job he would do.
I will be providing compressor wheels, compressor covers, full rebuild kit with 360 thrust washer, turbine wheel and turbine housing.
I have a few CHRAs that I may offer on exchange basis. I will not be providing a wastegate actuator as the 1HD-T guys have the option of reusing their old one with a manual boost controller or going the Kinugawa adjustable route.

interesting to see how this turns out.
I read somewhere that those have a ceramic turbine which doesn't do well in terms of safety at boost over 18lbs.
Guess it really depends on what your goals are.

Sorry FB I didn't wait for you. I just didn't want to be without car
during or after Christmas. The person who did it said it's ok to run it at 25psi no problem. I hope he is right. I don't want to go over 20 anyway. Still can upgrade for one of yours in the future, right? :)

Dude, don't get hung up on targetting a set amount of max boost. You need to focus on turbo response and generation of power and torque. There is no point in high boost unless the fuel can keep up with it. Lower boost at the correct AFR is more effective than high boost with a leaner AFR. The higher boost/lean AFR will keep your EGT down but it will be all blow and no fun.

no worries, I don't have my turbine stuff yet anyway.

Looks nice. The Ceramic turbine is terrific compared to the std inconel wheel. It's exactly what I used back in 2006 with an upgraded comp wheel. Still runs 27psi, done 100,000kms so far but I think leaking oil now.

I have a few of these turbines somewhere.

The good = fast spool, the bad = 1980's aerodynamics.

So that's why I don't use them anymore. Also exh housing geometry isn't awesome.

All that aside depending on the comp wheel this is most definately an improvement on the Supra upgrade. I loved the fast spool (back then) when it got to 1900 (I think) but even though the compressor I used was a near perfect match, it just didn't do it for me bottom end wise or top end. Great mid.

Couldn't wait/resist. Getting installed tomorrow. XTR billet.

Do you have any pictures of the ceramic turbine wheel Graeme? I've always been curious to see what they looked like and what blade profile they acheived.
I had a T2 turbine for a while that looked like 1960's aerodynamics. I sold it as a desk ornament.

I could grab one and photo it - pretty sure it's brand new. It is identical to the inconel wheel in design, just ceramic. Very low interia (for it's design and size).

I might build the original turbo I mentioned when I do all the backpressure logs just for kicks now that my dyno is finally running. Be interesting to see how far we have come.

Dynoed 4 cars yesterday to test out dyno and get used to software. So no real tuning day yet as data logging not setup. I bought 2 x 5 bar map sensors (EMP/imp testing) and need to calibrate the supplied NTK AFR sensor - not sure it will be suited to diesel....

We just bought a Hilux auto (2 door) D4D to make into a drag car (see if we can set some records). It did ~ 94kW at wheels std, with tune did ~ 121kW. Instant wheel spin when you take off now, but this week it gets a 210kW at wheels Gturbo, shift kit, intercooler, injectors, exhaust :-) we hope to make a clean 350whp after Christmas.

Mates 2JZ-GTE powered IS200 put down 180kW (running rich and spark breaking down), my 330D (also not running well don't know what happened to it - no fuel) made 133kW with 30psi but 30:1 afrs lol. Need to tune it and find source of issue. Easy 210kW there without changing boost. The vnt on it is good for 45psi.

HDJ79 with bad chip program made 65kW at wheels (no intercooler) added Gturbo and retune did petrol clean exhaust 133kW.

It's really cool fun, been wanting to do this for ages and beats the heck out of road testing (way less stressful since to 4wds are getting fast these days....)

Has anyone had any experience with this brand, or these turbos?

Reason i ask is im pretty sure my 12ht's stock ct26 has blown seals because im killing people with blue smoke when i take off from traffic lights after it idles for a minute or two. i need my car back on the road asap without killing the bank or my engine with a s*** turbo for that matter.. i dont plan on running my boost over about 10psi but im not sure if these are the same questionable quality as the $299 chinese specials on flea bay..

Help me turbo gurus!

Looks like the typical ricer upgrade with an oversize compressor wheel. That won't help you.
Does the 12HT need a split inlet turbine housing? That one looks like the 13BT/MR2 single round inlet.

That would be closer to running one of a BBX but still not it.
Honesty if your going to run low pressure see if you can grab a turbo off a 1hdfte, stick a supra comp cover or get your stock one machined to fit. 360 thrust washer and your good for 20lbs. Get it balanced of course.

if so why not more simplistic approach ..?

If you do not plan as you said to run more than 10psi why get an upgrade at all? Get yours rebuilt and good to go or get a stock replacement.
