I can't october 26 or 27.
October 26-27 is the Jeeptober fest in ocala but I think we can meet in any (restaurant, house,park beach etc.)since plans is made for this coming weekend.

It's usually difficult planning something unless a date is picked far in advance both as far as making arrangements AND picking a date that isn't conflicting with peoples schedules.

If we want to do a big get together, ,why not pick a date after TT?
Maybe we could do a Fla. club Christmas Party or something?

The manager at WJ's said it's "hard" to book a date for the beach after Thanksgiving....but he didn't say "impossible."

If we can pick say two dates, one in December, and one maybe just after the 1st of the year, I'll get with them NOW and get it scheduled. If they can't accommodate us, I'll find us another waterside venue that will. Preferably one that we can drive onto the beach and park.

If anyone still want's to get together this weekend, I'd suggest doing either the Gandy again, or maybe finding something a bit more inland, like a restaurant or something, and just meeting in the parking lot for a bit.

Your choices of course, just throwing out some options, and offering to do the legwork

(NOTE- I'm working on another overseas training trip to South America. No idea when or even "if" going to happen at the moment. Regardless, "if it does materialize, I will make sure the logistics are set in motion before we leave.)

I don't think so. I wasn't there that's for sure. I was busy helping putting the umpteenth barrier coat on my buddy's sailboat.

Like Steve said, let's pick a date and plan it.
I can talk to the Whiskey Joe's management again, and find out when the beach is open over the next 2 months.

Once we have their open dates, I'll post up in a separate thread (unless you want to keep this one open?), and we'll plan it.

FWIW, if we do WJ's on the beach, they're going to want to cater the event for us I'm sure. That's how they make money.

If there are alternate locations in the Bay area that you guys want to check out, let me know asap. I'm on the road all day most days, and can usually get by these places and talk to the management sometime during the day.

It's in Davenport. If you Google maps Four corners charter school, its the big area right behind there. From what iI hear alot of jeep and atv guys go out there. I guess its a big abandoned housing development area.

Well, I was hoping some of you would give me a couple of dates in the next 60 days, and we'd set something up on/near the water.

I know FJ4score was also looking into something over in the Davenport area too.

If now one objects, I'm going to go ahead and start planning something for a time over the next 3 months. Not sure yet exactly when. It will depend a lot on the availability of the beach at Whiskey Joes.

They are willing to let us park on the beach, will do a buffet for us, and the TIKI hut is available as well. If it's cold, they have several fire pits right there on the beach, and there's always inside seating and a large private room we can use, that looks right out over the water.

I'll get some dates, and get back to everyone ASAP.
