Hi to All,

it's time to start planning our Annual Event Turkey Trot. This event will be held at Hard Rock Cycle park in Ocala (same place as last year), on the weekend of November 22 - 24. I will like to know who will be interested in participating this year. Please reply with quantity of adult/children that will attend and who like to help organize the different activities.

Thanks
Luis

I'm in - just me. I'll help in whatever capacity is needed.

Guys - I am thinking that I would like to attend this event, it would be great to meet you guys and sure would be nice for my truck to see some non-pavement. It would most likely be just me, but a couple stars have to align first.

1. I have to clear it with the wife, we have some family coming in around Thanksgiving, so I need to make sure I can get away Nov 22.
2. I have a few things to do to the truck, 4.7 tcase install, ball joint spacers, new rear shackles, and probably alignment. Seems like there is time to do it all, just need to get on it.

Well, really that's it. Putting it down there in text makes it seem so simple! My winch is still disassembled in the garage from when I took it apart to do a rebuild. I'm assuming there will be plenty of people there with winches.

Oh, and I have no sliders and only the factory tcase skid. From pics of your past Trots, I see several people without sliders.

Anyway, gives me a goal to shoot for. Really hoping to get my butt in gear and meet up with you guys.

hardrock is fine without sliders. no winch is fine too somebody can give you a tug..

im going to try to make it too. me and the wife and kids. ill probably pull in late Friday night if I make it so ill have to have her leave the gate open.

Turkey Trot has inspired me...been getting some things done in preparation for this event:

- I've had these big a$$ shackles for a looong time, finally decided to throw them on

- Also had these BJ spacers to make the front match the rear, only have the passenger side on at the moment, driver side later this week.

- Fixed up my superflow compressor with a new quick connect fitting and new wiring

I'm still working on my 4.7 transfer case buildup. Turns out the the guy who sold it to me was missing a few key parts, one of them being the hi/lo shift rail. Working on finding a rail so I can put the case together. Case may or may not be installed before the trip.

Still gotta change the oil, possibly install that tcase, and get all my camping gear rounded up.

Looking forward to this event!

Hi to all FLCA members,

The Turkey Trot is coming up pretty soon. The deadline to be accounted for the dinner will be November 10, 2013. Please, if you are not sure that you will be attending the event, still let us know. This way will we know the exact amount of people that will be participating in the event and the possible people joining us for the dinner. I will also need to know who can be committed to volunteer helping through out the event activities.

Theses are the activities that are in mind;
1. Geocashing (Orlando Group)
2. Blind Fold course (Tampa Group)
3. Fishing contest (Need volunteer)
4. Obstacle course (rock climbing)
5. Movie night (A Carter Production)

Each event will have a prize for the winner.

If you have any questions, please let me know ASAP.

Thanks
Luis

I will be there! Count me in for dinner please. Do I need to pay ahead of time, bring a dish, or what is the protocol?

Sorry guys, but I have to back out of this one :(

It's bitter sweet for me. I have a job that needs to get done that same weekend... but it should make me enough money to pay for a lot of upgrades on my truck that I hope I can get on before GSMTR. (My side business is what funds my Land Cruiser habit).
