you got that right!
the end result is what all the pain is for :D

thank God for engine hoists ;)

Jim-

That is an AA adapter, right?

Give them a hollar, and tell them you need a COUPLE of those nuts...IIRC they are a nylock nut...

You KNOW it is 22mm?

Can you measure the thread pitch?

I might be able to come up with something if I have the diameter and pitch of thread...

Good luck!

-Steve

the nut i got with my kit from AA was a nylon lock nut. AA says it is just a standard nut 7/8 -16 nylon locknut that can be found on most jeep transmissions ,just used a flat washer and nylon locknut , torqued to 75 ft. lbs ?? thats what my instructions sheet say's

AA part #'s
nut is #728701
7/8 flat washer # 728702

i'm pretty sure it's a 22, when i went to my trusty true value in towm,
they had a guage, the threads went thru a 22mm hole.
i'll ave to measure and get the pitch tonight or later, i just want to get this mounted up.
i'm soooo close to bolt'n up to the bell housing,i gotta cut some more floor pan out under the gas tank

and yes, that is a AA adapter

thanx steve

update!!!!!!

got alittle more done last night...
finaly got one bolt in,
still have to cut more of the pass side floor board out to get the trans to twist a bit, so i can get the other top bolt in.(what a pain)
never thought i'd have to cut this much sheet metal out
pulling the gas tank has made life easier.
once i finish cutting the floor pan, i'll rework the pan and weld in some sheet metal.
:) ;) :D life is good!!!!

have ya tried putting the tranny tunnel cover hump on it for a test fit , when i first did mine i added a i inch bodylift ,because my cover would not fit ?

I would not have thought that you would have had to cut that much..

I wonder if most of the longer adapters that I have dealt with had a V8 in front of them..

I have to go think.

not yet, i know it's not gonna fit just by lookin at it.

i think the 1" lift is prolly gonna have to happen.

You could have just got a smyth(?spelling?) adapter like myself and it would have just fit in there ;) No cutting required.

ain't no big deal about cuttin it up..
i'll just fab it back together..;)
