My Cruiser has years of French fries, coins, etc built up under the rear heater from the PO.

I want to take apart the rear heater as much as possible save for the heater pipes. Sometimes I use it to dissipate heat.

Has anyone done this, can I just start pulling things off until I get to the pipes? I'm also planning on bedlining the interior in the nearish future.

I would cut the heater pipes below, and pull it out to clean it. replace the pipes; however beware, (first drain entire coolant) and these are metric rubber tube, so go oem or buy the correct size.

Looks like cutting them out might be the only way to really get under there. I got about this far but can't really see how to go much further.

if you screw it up, i'll sell you my old heater. :) i took mine out as i never have rear passengers. am comtemplating tearing into the front to do a thorough cleaning after seeing how gooey the one in my 95 was, but dont' know that i want to go through that much work.
