Hi - I think I've read all the threads about taking off window glass on FJ40s;
I tried the suggestions on the rear corner window but I'm still not able to take it out.
How much force can you apply to the glass from the inside to push it out ?

Thanks.

The rubber is old, probably hard, and you won't be able to reuse it so why not just cut the rubber and get the windows out that way?

Use a blunt flat screwdriver and start in one corner. From the inside , Push the lip back around the steel flange and work your way around. It should come out easily once you make your way all the way around the bottom or top. Be careful not to push it right out and drop it.

The rubber is usually dry and cracked so i just cut it with a knife and remove easily. Reinstall with new seal-weather stripping

X2
