As the p/n's are the same for right and left windows that I'm seeing for a number of years, I'm not sure it matters. I can tell on my 01/72 fj40, the rear window stencil is on the outside on the driver's side and on the inside on the passenger side. Find your truck build date, then check the list. I could also give you front window numbers, but that list is a bit longer. Hope this helps some. Pardon the poor quality pics from my forty something year old microfiche set. But the info contained is sometimes invaluable.

If the channel is pressed on the bottom just be channel is the right direction for the window crank roller. It will only work one direction. The opposite side opening the channel opening is on the other side. If you don't have the channel pressed the lettering is on opposite sides install it so you read the letter from the outside.
