Don't know how I missed this build. Awesome work and really fast too.

Scott,
I saw someone post that this used to be my truck. I will have to say that you have done so much good work to this truck....it is nowhere close to the good looking relick I used to have. You have truly done an incredible job. I have an lv in paint stage that I would love to save up enough to have you finish it with b3.3, power steering etc. Well done.

Dukes

Hi Dukes,

And I can only say only more remarkable in person.. I had no idea it was the same truck, Dukes I remember it all those years in front of your place up in Jackson, too funny. It was also in a photo shoot for Royal Robbins that a friend happened to be part of which you may remember Dukes! Just awesome and too funny...

Best, Andre (the guy who left that note in the room by your "front" door once)

Really sick vehicle, great job. Did you fab the rear cargo canvas frame and top or did you buy the set? Curious, because it looks so professional...

Cheers,

Joel

The entire top is custom. With some help from my exhaust shop, had some tubing bent up and then welded the frame together. Then had my local upholstery shop make the canvas portion including the zip out tent area. After the canvas was done then had the metal frame powder coated. It worked really well for the trip.

Waiting on parts for another project so I got a chance to try and play catch up on this truck with some of the items that I had intended to install for the trip before I fractured my hand. Plus this way I can quit tripping on the items as they are currently scattered in various spots in my shop. First up in the ARB locker:

Steering wheel upgrade

With power steering decided to change out the steering wheel to make for a little more room in the cab. Was going to weld more metal on the steering wheel collar to fill the gap but was cruising around the local Ace store and found a simple plumbing solution for filling the gap between the stock column turn signal switch and new steering wheel.

....perfect option 4 tall guys...
some steering wheel options ( wood / I like them more than leather ;))
Moto Lita ( had them in two vintage english sportcars )
Moto-Lita, the Classic British Steering Wheel

Don`t know if you can get them in the USA ... but Google is your friend ;)

Cheers
