The diffs on 60 series trucks swap front to rear and vise versa without any changes. The rear on an 80 series will likewise swap into either the front or rear of a 60. There are gear ratio differences though that you'll want to watch out for. 60's in the USA came with 3.70, 62's came with 4.11 and 80's came with 4.11.

Awesome, thanks for the help guys.

Basically, I want to swap the front 3rd on my 62 to the rear and vice versa. The rear end makes a bad humming/vibrating noise while driving above 30+ mph which I believe is a bad pinion bearing (has new ujoints). Figured the front barely has any use over the years and it'll get me by for a while since it's not my DD.

Rear open diff from an 80 series will swap into the 60 series axle housings. I have one in the rear of one of my 60s. Minor clarification, 80 series rear diff ratio is 4.10, durn close enough to 4.11 to be insignificant.
