Just tracked down a front ARB bumper and rear from Slee. They where the last in stock. I got crushed on shipping even to a commercial address with a loading dock and fork lift.

I did get a little gossip. It used to cost 5k to ship a 40 ' container stuffed with parts from AU to Seattle. It's now 25k for the same container. ARB is also raising their prices because of the cost of raw materials. They are back in almost full lock down again by the factories so they don't have the labor. Only one container makes it from port to the distribution center in Seattle a day. I used to be 6-10. They don't have drivers.

after market parts are going to get very expensive very quick. If you where holding back you might want to pull the trigger if it is in stock. I ordered tyres and 2 came from FL one from CO and one from NJ. I had to pay separate shipping from each vendor just to fill the order.

We used to call the people hoarding ARB compressors crazy.. now they are geniuses.

No, I'm not being serious.

I am glad I've got the setup I do though.

Its already happening everywhere.
CBI/Prinsu, Equipt1 and many otgers we’re familiar eith have already announced price increases anticipated to be as high as 35%.

People are flush with dollars but without normal levels of productivity for various reasons….so…hyperinflation…here it comes.

I could use a bit of hyperinflation to make my mortgage payment seem less painful, but I'd also need hyperinflated wages to compensate.

I'd have to generally agree though - acquire stuff sooner or be willing to wait a year or two for supply and demand to eventually get back into sync

The ARB factory is running 24 hours a day 6 days a week just making compressors to keep up with the back log of orders.

Makes me wonder if there will be a few bad runs that make it out? You have to train people how to do the operation even if it's automated

This thread convinced me to order the Victron solar controller that I’ve been putting off.

Bump...

I tried to order 285/75/17 KO2's and they said BFG's factory is backed up and they have no idea when/if they'll be in stock.
I ordered a set of these and similar to the OP, I got one from each corner of the country and my shop couldn't find any others out there. Supply chain issues are crazy - and from everything I'm hearing on the work side, it's just going to get worse for a while.

Found my 2721s, but had to order from a vendor I dislike doing business with. Their last pair too. Glad I saw this

I ordered new wheels (Bronze Icon Vector 5) and tires (35x11.50R17 Toyo AT IIIs) and keep getting weekly updates that there is no update. Wondering if I will actually see them before the snow flies.

On the list too. Never thought we would be waiting MONTHS for tires in a common size like 275/70/18 (KM3s). I guess Ford is taking them all for the Tremor. I am going to be patient because I have lots of positive experience with KM3s and KO2s. I had started poking around with some others that have better availability, but I will roll on the AT23s for a while longer.

How'd you get a Slee rear shipped? I just inquired and they told me they're only doing in house installs, not shipping them.

LOL, good luck with that brother. Wages haven't budged in 40 years.

I missed out on Slee's ARB compressor that they had in stock. I noticed it Tuesday, but decided I'd wait. Looked again Wednesday morning, had it in stock. Then Right after lunch, and they were gone. I was trying to convince myself that I needed it even though I have a Viair portable. Now I'm regretting waiting.

I messed up and ordered a 24v a few months ago.. and received a box that had gone through hell and back. I'm betting a half dozen people did the exact same thing I did.. order compressor, glad they have it in stock.. get it.. 24v.. box up and return it.

Fortunately some 12v models came up about a month later. It is a nice unit, but you'll be fine with that viair until you can get one.

Yep. It's going to get worse before it get better. It's covid. Here in the States we are pretty much back to normal. The rest of the world is getting worse. These parts all start off in a 3rd world country. A tin mine in Angola, a steel plant in India all of it. The producers can't get the raw material. Then they can't ship it because there are less trucks on the road. Another example here state side. ARB gets shipped to Seattle WA. It then goes to the warehouse for distribution to vendors. At the warehouse there is only 1, maybe 2 on a good day, trailers show up. When they are full that is it. No more shipments that day. Pre covid it was 8-15 loads a day. The warehouse only is so big. So even with the backlog they are running out of space just because they can't ship it out fast enough. The result is they tell ARB we want all this stuff but have no room to store it. So they can't have it shipped?!?

We are having similar problems here in Australia, imported premium shocks almost impossible to source, huge delays on most brands of bar work, demand has increased as everyone is trying to build an adventure vehicle to holiday at home as overseas travel appears to be a distant reality. Freight costs are huge and service slow, manufactures are struggling to get raw materials, retailers have very limited stock and if you find a bar they will only sell it as part of a complete build. It will be a long time until the industry returns to normal, we call it ”Covid tax”

Sounds like I should part our my land cruiser :-D

All true guys. We're getting annihilated on costs these days. Even labor- if you can find it. The government is paying people to stay home, and at least out here construction/real estate is off the hook. They are sweeping up all the remaining labor at high wages. Just got a call from a supplier who recently had a large price increase and he related the next one in October will "hurt". I had to buy a year supply of Baltic Birch at 2x normal cost and rent another space to house it.

It's getting much worse. Yes- buy what you can now. Not only so you can have it, but support your favorite vendors. We can't hold out forever. Costs will go up until sales fall off. Then the only option is to close the doors.

It's tuff times for a lot of industries. I really feel for the vendors. It's all the same story from all of you guys. Customers want to spend their money but you have to tell them sorry we don't have it and when we do get it is going to cost you 25-35% more. So now the customer is PO and the situation is out of your control. On the bright side the customer who is doing mods probably has the money to burn and really has no choice but to wait. End of the day they will bite the bullet and pay up. I did with shipping. The ARB bumper I ordered cost 597$ to ship to a commercial address with a fork lift and loading dock. Last year I had a motor shipped cross country and it was 165$... Same freight company.
