Definitely. I run OME coils and the truck moves very evenly. About the only change I would make is a 'nicer' shock (Fox, King, etc.), but the radius arms and flex have nothing to do with that. That's more about my use of the vehicle and what I don't like about fast movement.
I got Fox shocks which are universally valved so i would have proper shock length for the 7", what ive found with fox is that they have a soft feel for the heavier loaded cruisers. I might send mine to get revalved further down the road. My Dobinsons MR reservoir shocks rode fantastic but they were about 28" long which IMO was way too short for my lift. Wanted the Kings but the price was outrageously out of my budget haha.

Have you considered lowering your 80? A lot of rigs have proved 3.5" to 4" of lift works well with 37s.

Ive had it lower before, and she wheeled and behaved much much better. But i love the way she looks with this height, just gotta be careful wheeling as things get sketchy real quick.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.... :flipoff2:

There are some that consider a s*** sandwich a delicacy, most especially, collectively, ignoring the taste of s*** in the crowd.

Me, it still tastes like s***, even with mustard.

@Despingator,

Are the splines cut long for a reason?

Seems like all of Tatton's DS fit this way, don't know why? Not sure it the one in question is a Tatton. Maybe it is a Jeep/Spicer thing??

I believe it is a Tatton, but they truck it was on had 3-4" lift and mine has 7, it got me out of the Ozarks and back home to Miami i cant complain.

Be interesting to know the actual difference in flex with the new arms. Looks good either way.

Universally valved shocks are almost always done too light. Still good shocks, but look at Bilstien, etc and they're all valved for trucks that are way lighter than our fat station wagons.

I actually called Fox and asked them if they were stiffer or softer than the ones they have specifically for the 80 and per Fox they have the same valving for compression and a stiffer valving for rebound. Or maybe it was the other way around but in short they said that it was stiffer than their 80 specific shocks.

The difference in the amount of flex is not measurable. Not unless you take the springs and shocks out, then put the truck on stands and measure how far the arms can move and cycle (articulate) back and forth before there is any binding. My guess is that distance is only marginally more (if any at all, but SE claims its more) and irrelevant anyway.

The length of your shock, or limiting strap is what dictates the amount of flex.

The difference for these arms is in how easily it articulates. For me it was a noticable difference.

Interesting. How much were they?

Oh,!you mean like ..........

Wait for it.....

Jeeps?

I would bet that is what the majority of these shocks are sold for.

That or mini trucks. Coming from the 4Runner world, that was part of the obvious choice. You lift the rig with either Toyota springs or third party, then you get some Bilstien 5100s.

In my case, you buy the springs and other small pieces for the lift, then sell them to your buddy and sell the 4Runner so that you can start wheeling a Land Cruiser. :hillbilly:

Good to see some yanks running aus gear. Get rid of that front swaybar and just run the rear, It will make the front work alot better.
I didnt go with the superior engineering arms because of the $$, went this buds custom arms.

My 80 is running 4" 6" shocks and works a treat.

@Despingator

Are you running the Whiteline sway bars for both front and rear? Do you happen to recall the p/ns for the bars?

As an aside, if you're not disconnecting the stiffer front sway bar while wheeling, I'd suggest (if you haven't done so already) beefing up the sway bar mounts on the front axle.

Those knuckledraggers hang alot lower than the diff !!! Id throw those in the trash and just flip stock arms to top of axle with 20mm more spacing on the mounts for added flex........and just plan to change out the bushings at a more frequent interval due to flex limiter/mounts being spaced out a bit.

Lets just rename those arms now.....Superdraggers.

We don't need no stinking sway bars! I took the front off first, then the rear only, then both off, and kept it that way! From owning an 84pu with about 10" if lift and 38's, it leaned like the NFL at an anthem party. My 80, perfectly ok without swaybars!
