I dont htink so, IIRC there was a body mount tab off frame so that lowest part should be say 1/4 " ish above frame for a stockish heigth so thats gotta be real close.
Thanks, Pees. I do remember there being a body mount there on the outside of the frame, which I will need to replace. Do you happen to have a picture of a factory mount?

One slight change to the plan: I might purchase the 18” stretch tub instead of the 14” from Aqualu. The longer body seems like a better fit for my tire size and wheelbase and it will prevent us from needing a customize tub. The additional 4” would be added to the rear frame section. I’ll keep you posted.

I think just getting one actually in hand at that price is well done, I'd be happy with that, hopefully you have room to put it all together, it'd be on saw horses under a tarp in my current situation, unless I built it at the TN house, thats got a barn with concrete floor just waitin for me to set up a shop in, someday........

That's why I had to wait until now to purchase it.

I am really excited to get the body coming. I'm not so excited to stretch the frame more but at least the back half isn't finished. This will be a good time to tie in those coilover towers and sleeve the frame on the back half...plus I'll have a larger area for the fuel cell, which I am also excited about.

P.S. I purchased the 18" stretched tub. It's in stock so I might have it by the end of March.

Back to the drawing board. The 18” stretch tub won’t work after all. We are switching the order to a custom 14” stretch tub. Lead time for that will be 6-8+ weeks.

If I'm around and you have a tig, I could always do it, if not I'd call some local welding shops. Shouldn't be too hard to find someone to run aluminum.

I would do it if I had a tig. 😊 I might have a lead or two. My air compressor stopped working this morning so I am on the hunt for a new one.
