I put the 4" lift springs I got from Marshall on this weekend, with a bunch of help from Dan and Heather, and got 4-1/4" of lift in the front... but only 2-3/4" in the back. This on a previously level cruiser. The springs were used so I'm not expecting it to drop much. I have 2-1/2" extended shackles front and back so now I need to lower the front by an inch or so and stock shackles in the front will do it.

Anyone have some stock length shackles laying around?

Trade you for some stock springs :grinpimp:

Looks MUCH better even with the slight squat in the back. I'll get pics soon. Drives a lot nicer too which was a surprise. Not harsher than before, and much more control on the road with less lean in the turns. My old shocks must have been shot.

Before the lift... had 2-1/2" lift shackles. (5" center to center)

And after with the Safari Springs. Originally got a little over 4" in the front and got 2-3/4 in the back. Over the last week both have dropped about 1/2" but the net effect is still about 1-1/4" higher in the front compared to the back.

I'll have two 5" shackles available once I do make the change back to stock shackle length in the front.

steen I have stock shackles in North Augusta....... you are more than welcome to them, but I won't be home for a while

Thanks JP... I'll let you know if nothing else shows up. Drives great as is and doesn't look too silly.

more than one person hooked Steen up on this one :)

Any time I do anything major to SORF, I have to get "hooked" up... but always less and less. Some of all of this help is actually sinking in. Thanks to all!

Couple of mild flex shots from yesterday...

Linda looks happy doesn't she??? I did ask her to smile and reluctantly she did. Trooper though, she endured a couple of hours on dirt.
