Great progress! Fun to follow along. I will be interested to watch all your wiring come together. I've spent a good amount of time thinking through all my wiring "needs" and the 24V and 12V systems has my head spinning!

Here is a really good read on sound deadening if you don't have that plan finalized yet: Making Vehicles Quieter | Sound Deadener Showdown

got her dirty this weekend. Shake down run, she preformed admirably. Teaser pics

Looking very good - we need more pictures :)

are you happy with the wheel setup?

how about the ARB bumper - is it the deluxe bumper?

I am about to buy wheels and bumper for my build but really dont know what to buy

I am ecstatic with them. The 2 piece rims hat a ton of balance weight, close to 8-10 ounces on some. These took no more than 4 at the worst one. Highly recommended, a little pricey but well worth it.

Arb bumper is great, by only gripe is that there are no integrated recovery points. I have an ARB recovery point that i have to install. To be fair none of the big names (TJM etc) have recovery points on the bumper itself.

You won't be "odd man out" at the 70 Series gathering in September. :)

Richland Road between Lenoir and Blowing Rock, NC,Sad to say that it was a disaster this time. We picked up about 10 to 12 trashbags full of trash, including a fuel tank from a car. Then about 4 miles from the end, we found the car, glass everywhere and obviously destroyed. Best way to lose a trail. I thought about trying to drag it out, and would have if we had the time, would have taken all day.

Its a beautiful trail, shame that people have no respect anymore

Love the build! Eager to see your wiring!

Hello Siflersmom,

Love the picture in the rear-view mirror in post #242, excellent.
I'm jealous, as i'm rather stuck these days. Wish i could be there for the trail fun'n'games. I would have had a go at pulling the car wreck out, but that's easy to say when one isn't there (it would've given me an opportunity to fiddle with the rear winch).

When the troopy first came in, the seats were in outstanding shape, and i wanted to keep them that way. Paul over at Equipt1 had the best solution. It took a few months for a custom set for the front and rear seats, but they came in today and installed over lunch! It started raining today, but ill get better pics over the weekend. Nice and comfy on the way home.

Nice work on the seat covers Andrew. I also installed a set in my 70 series as well. Very nicely made units. And now I know why the wait was so long: these are custom made by order.

I'm ok with that.

:)

Good to hear they have a template for the 75 series now cos the factory is about 8 km from me.Very good product in general - the set in my 105 lasted for years and when scuffing became to bad the replaced those usual panels foc !
