Holy cow dude haha

Might need some 40's :hillbilly:

Shackle angle on the front looks perfect btw :)

It is a little bit big.
I like it though, there is plenty of room to take advantage of the flexiness of the suspension now.

When I swap the Cummins in I'll probably end up running 37" tires.

It's soon going to be time to take the trucks out to Rausch. I've gotta use my annual membership a bit more yet. :)

Yeah, you know it.

Hey what are you up to this weekend? I am gonna try to have a big push on saturday and could use some help. Plus you'll get a chance to see it.

I'd love to help dude. Let's talk. Gimme a call.

Reassembly was in full swing today. I managed to place all of the exterior lights and vents on along with the emergency brake.
Worked on the shifter boots, and reinstalled the driver seat. Tomorrow I plan on picking up the extended brake lines from napa and getting them installed.

In regards to the brake system, the FJ60 did not have an LSPV, the FJ62 frame I swapped my body onto does have one. Should I use the it or just bypass it and run some new lines?

I also did some flex testing.

I have to say those 63" chevy springs sure do flex nice.
Using a forklift I raised the rear passenger tire 32" at that height both front tires were still planted firmly on the ground. I can go higher for sure but I am going to wait until the rear suspension is fully welded before attempting it.

Hey thanks, It's actually got 35's on it now, Its gonna get bumped to 37's later. I don't plan on runnin and 40's but you never know.

Nice flex dude

Can't wait to see this thing in the sunlight on a trail! The black will look even more badass

You'd get more flex out of the front end if you took a couple of leafs out.

Other than that, she looks great:smokin:

There is still plenty flex to be had in the front, honestly I want to drive it before I decide to adjust the suspension.

Understandable. I'd want it back on the road too.

I'm finding with moonshine that even with the potential for more flex, it's very difficult to achieve with stiff springs. I'm setting my suspension up to be as soft as possible while still holding the weight I need it to. I intend to take a couple more leaves out of my rear springs in not too long.

Either way, adjusting is fun, but driving is better. What do you have left on your list?

The list looks like this:

Finish welding suspension
Traction bar for the rear
Driveshafts
Fuel lines
Brake lines
Electrical connections to motor
Coolant lines
Power steering cooler lines
Steering stops on the axle
Interior
Bumpers and whatnot.

NICE!!!! your ride looks perfect for offroading with that flex!! and the flex and SOA conversion is sweet.. did you install a rear stabilizer at the rear, the one that the 80 had? (the arm which connects the frame to the axle)

congrats again!!! it's ALIVE!!

Thanks man,

As of right now no swaybars on the truck. I have the old ones and after getting some shocks on it and driving it I'll decide whether or not I want to reinstall them.

I know I have read that many people just run the trucks without them.
My main concern is getting it moving under its own power, its annoying having to roll it in and out each time I work on it.
