Boots,

What valving are your running on your 5125's and 7100's?

The 7100s up front are valved at 400/80 and are just about perfect for me with my long springs, shackle angle, and heavy diesel.

The 5125 out back are valved at 255/70 and are too soft for my set up. I do plan on changing my rear shackle angle a tad to firm it up just a little.

Are the 7100's on the soft or stiff side?

The 7100s are firm but not stiff. Definitely not soft.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking I'm gonna run 360/80 all around then.

That should be good with the rears up front and the chevys in the back. Worst case I would need to revalve.

I made the decision to go 360/80 all around on the bilsteins and see how that works out.

I also managed to at least get some of the brake work finished.
The rear is all done next step is to get the fronts in. I'm still waiting on some brake hoses from napa but they should be in this week at some point.

I also installed the front bumper again to prevent the front of the truck from getting damaged while being towed around the property. I cut out some of the tubing to allow it to fit without the 2" body lift, but it still needs to get some finish grinding.
I also plan on welding in a receiver so as to have a removable winch.

Lol, yeah i know where it is. Across from Allentown Caging.
The old UT Railroad right of way pole line was the give away.

Nice, you must be local to the area then. Well if you ever wanna stop in let me know I'd be glad to show you the truck in person.

I also have a bunch of stuff I'm getting ready to sell if you need anything.

BTW for anyone who might want to know napa also has part #38482, which will work for extended brake lines, these are 17.5" long and have male and female fittings.

And I didn't even take the protective covers off yet.
They were a little on the pricey side, but the fact that they're revalveable and rebuildable makes them worth it.
I purchased them from eshocks.com, really good customer service and nice guys.

awwwww yeeeeaaaaa

I'm so excited!

lol, strange how you can always justify shelling out money for shiney parts in your head :o

Well I was hoping to get those shocks installed tonight, however there wasn't anyone around to help me pull the truck in so I decided to tackle another project I didn't plan on doing for a while.

Using a bunch of scrap metal in the shop I made a set of sliders. The nice thing is I really need a step to get into the truck so these will double as that.

I had a little bit of shop time tonight and got the rear axle wrapped up.
Shocks are installed and looking good. I originally wasn't planning to run reservoir shocks so I had to take a hammer to the gas tank to clear the reservoir fitting.

I also lengthened the lower shock mount tabs to give me more clearance on the axle itself.

The 360/80 valving seems to be working out nicely, just from riding in the truck to steer it out of the shop I could feel a noticeable difference.
The ride is amazing, the rear shocks are firm but not stiff. Any bumps are easily absorbed by the suspension and shocks.
There is no jarring or rattling that I am used to from the old suspension.
Later in the week I plan on finishing the front brakes, and installing the front shocks.
I may even get the engine running this weekend. :D
I'm pretty sure Bronson wants to be moving under its own power too.

Front, 4Runner calipers installed tonight along with the front shock hoops and shocks.

Tomorrow I'll route the front brake lines and install the new 4Runner MC.

Pics of the shiny new shocks installed. They look like they are set at different angles in the pictures, but in reality they aren't its the way I was standing that makes them look that way.
