Hi, Who’s put on a solid leather steering wheel cover recently? Mine is worn out after 40 years not too shabby. The reason it lasted so long is that is solid leather not a thin strip over some junk.recommendations? Thanks, Mike

Loncky (I think the spelling is right) makes some quality diy steering wheel covers with good stitching instructions and high end leather and thread. Very reasonable. Here’s their link:

And here’s mine in my 100 series:

Have you considered wrapping with 550 cord? I did this French wrap in early 2020 right before the H55F swap. It's just now starting to look faded enough that I plan on pulling it off and redoing it with new cord probably next springtime.

I’m using the SOR one right now and it’s good. The one Letsrollem is showing looks better from those pictures but the SOR one is full leather and easy to stitch on.

Is the quality equal to the wheelskin covers?

I bought mine a few years ago but their site states they are a wheelskin reseller, so I think it would be the same unless wheelskin sells different “levels” directly, I’m not sure. Let me see if I have decent picture of mine.

Hi, Who’s the bison cover from?

Mine wear out too, and they always wear out at the same place. I just put the new ones over the old ones. This looks like my third.
60 series can't be that different from my 55...
