Ok, If I understand correctly, to get at the rear facing mounting bolt you were working on your back on a creeper with your feet pointing toward the front of the vehicle and reaching up and forward to approach the starter from behind, and the front axle was being supported by low stands??

i was able to get one out of a 93, with no jack, no lift and 275 tires, just by laying under it.

So now that you've pulled the wheel, fender liner and starter, is the perfect time to replace the fuel filter and the PHH....just saying....
 
The PHH is up underneath the rear of the intake manifold, below the last intake runner. Many people have gotten to it from the wheel well.

Ok I can't get the bottom bolt out and I'm going through the wheel well. I can not get around the trans dip stick pipe!! FML I'm getting so angry. Any help??
 
Got the top one YEAH!!
 
Ok done. Way longer than it took you all, but I'm mechanically challenged. Lol
