Got my hands on a SR5 V6 gauge cluster out of a 86-88 pu for cheap. Anyway this will work for my 22re equiped 88 4x4? Would the rpms be off? If it's possible how could I fix this? Thanks all. I'm new to the toyota pickup group.

I think there are ways to make the tach work right, but you're better off selling it and buying a 4 banger dash. Check the FAQ thread...

x2. These things are on ebay all the time. Sell yours and buy one out of a 22RE.

Dude, I'm not going to take time to search for a zillion years either. What I can tell you is that tach would have to be adjusted (possibly need a potentiometer?), but also I believe the 4 banger and V6 operate on different VSS signals (which are generated in the spedo, 2 pulse vs 4 pulse), consequently your best bet is to get a 4 banger spedo as others have suggested.

I was always told the 6cyl tach would read too fast. I tried one in my '85 22re truck, and it worked perfect.

It was probably just dumb luck.
