Yeah, pretty sure the source of the problem is water leaking down the windshield and past the cowl seals to the windshield. So anything that increased flow of water over the passenger side of the windshield exacerbates the problem. If you were nose up, probably more water would run off the back of the truck, although the suspension rake probably works against you there as well.

Anyone ever mount maxtrax boards transverse to line of travel? Meaning driver to pass ever side vs front to back? I’m considering mounting options with my Yakima mega warrior basket that don’t look ridiculous or are a nonstarter by the boards turning into sails. TIA.

Had them that way on our Sequoia. Never had an issue. Granted they were butted up against the RTT, but given they should be on good and tight with the proper pins...zero issue.

Thank you! I haven’t had the courage to push the mount with my perfectly measured bar mount I’ve rigged up. I have to get into parking decks regularly. And I’m already pushing close to the 7’ max. I’ll look at how to do this. I’ve got the maxtrax pins right now. And I’ll likely get a lock too given I drive to rough areas frequently enough to merit it. Again, TY

I had a 15' high garage with 10x10 doors put in to house our RAM, trailer and Sequoia. The Sequoia is gone, but I don't feel like shunning the Cruiser to the toy box just yet. HA!

Sadly I kept a couple locks on mine any time we were out. They're more likely to grow legs in a grocery store parking lot in a "nice" area full of mall crawlers than typical "bad" areas where folks wouldn't even know what to do with them.

I used these as they were small enough. Just fair warning...be sure to keep them maintained with some lubricant and such as they weather fairly easily.

Has anyone besides me found that the 12V plug in the front of their dash is too short (or small?) to fit any 12V accessories. The cigarette lighter socket works ok. (or maybe it's the other way around... my son has the truck so I can't confirm). I feel like I've been doing something wrong for 9 years but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Getting set for our upcoming trip and right now I'm using this stupid 3-way breakout adapter because I need to run both a USB phone charger on a long trip *AND* the 12V power for the backup camera for the trailer.

They sell a small 12V to usb/usb-c adapter thing that will offset some of the recess the OEM part has. Check Amazon. There’s a couple that are metal that are well reviewed. I don’t have links unfortunately.

I’ve ran mine like this from time to time, depending on what else I have going on up there. No issues but it does mean you gotta walk around and climb up both sides to get a set down.

I had the same problem, when I got my truck 8 years ago. Phone charger would slowly creep out of the aux socket and quit working. Aggravating.

So I pulled the aux one out, installed a dedicated dual USB plug in it's place (with voltage gauge). Then I added another one to the right, that is on a dedicated circuit from the aux power panel, but it has a switch (blue button) so I can turn it on and off when I want. This lets me charge the (whatever) without the ignition on. I keep a short (~12") cable plugged in to the MagSafe phone mount, on the custom mount.

I should probably upgrade them to the newer USB C standard, but they do what I need.

What’s going on with this new sound from driver side third row? Noticeably loud and distracting

The “grille” in the trim is the air intake for the rear HVAC. Does the sound stop when the rear blower fan is turned off? Years ago I had a leaf make its way into the rear fan, causing an imbalance and made similar noise. Removed leaf and all good again.

2021 200..I have some extra ATF fluid laying around. From what I understand it is totally fine to use this as power steering fluid? Any real downside to using ATF other than it's pricey?

Make sure it's the right type (and sorry for this) and new. Otherwise, it's what the manual calls for IIRC

Been wondering whether there is a filter on the rear AC to keep the evaporator clean like the unit in the front has?

If not any ideas to add one?
