Ok so a bit embarrassed asking this....especially after owning 4 200s!

On my wife's 2020 the BSM and RCTA dash lights have always been on... I never even thought about if they should or not.

My 2013 doesn't have them, but I just assumed it was because it was older.

So the SQOD is should those lights be on the dash and if not, why are they on!

Brett
I'll answer my own question:

According to pages 359 and 360 of the owners manual, these lights on the dash are an indicator that these functions are turned on!

Those should be on (illuminated green) when they are operating as normal on a 16+ cruiser.

Has anyone power lift gate acted up?

Only thing I can think that's pissing it off is all this rain. It beeps twice if I hit he button in the cabin, the key...and only lifts manually....doesn't shut via the button. Kinda lame...between parking sensors going off from rain and now this...soft.

make sure your "rear door/hatch pwr" button has the orange top part exposed (right knee driver position). That indicates it will be "power" vs manual.

thanks! will go check that now...classic vent and it's a self inflicted problem.

It sounds like the orange "rear door" button has been pushed. What you describe is exactly what happens when the power lift gate is disabled: two quick beeps and no movement.

yes I agree with you all that has to be it...will check soon. Relieving and makes sense because it felt fully at a loss of power. I've been living in the 200 this week (not literally)...must've smashed it at some point. Sounds like the 100 series diff lock knee hit the button thing...had that one happen too!

I usually do 6000 mile oil changes with with mobil one 5w 30. Had valve cover gasket replaced, spark plugs, and heater t and hoses.
I am using pennzoil ultra platinum 5w 30.

should I do a shorter oil change interval due to the silicone levels from valve cover gasket?

How do you remove the wireless charging pad and center console on a 2016+ LX? I’ve been pulling back on it and it doesn’t seem to budge.

How much would barebone front and back bumpers affect ride handling? Say dissent’s which are about 100/110lb. Already have steel skids and sliders. And for trips it will be loaded with people and luggage.

It’s my trip vehicle and need to do lots of highway miles at 80+mph. I don’t mind mpg drops a bit but not for handling and safety

How do you guys store your leftover AHC fluid? I always seem to have about 1/2 of a can (1 liter) left over after doing a fluid flush or globe changes. I have two AHC vehicles so I change at least one of them every year. I recycle the old (used) fluid.

Is just putting the lid on the can good enough? I live in the SW so it can be dusty sometimes.

I add spring rubbers to front around that point to help increase my spring rate. Rear was fine.

I thought the AHC increased the spring rate as the weight increased. I would be cautious if you are talking about putting a rubber block between the spring coils. Yes, it will increase the spring rate, but it will reduce the amount of travel available in the spring. How does the ride feel?

Stopped the front to back pitching. Ride back to composed normalcy. Spring rubbers aren’t blocks, but they do take a portion of one turn off the coil. Idea is more static weight managed by springs, putting and back into its dynamic weight management range.

Random and potentially stupid question for the day... Anybody think it would be possible to upgrade the fan inside the ventilated seats? The airflow in my drivers seat is basically unnoticeable at this point.

Have you changed the filters on the intake side of the ventilated fan? It's under your seat.

Just cleaned it. It was pretty caked with dust so hopefully that helps. Probably need to order a new one. Appreciate the suggestion.

Edit: Looks like I'm not the first person with this complaint
