Email LRA and then post what they say. They're good to deal with and quick to respond.
I did and they were.

The empty 24gallon Aux LRA tank is 81lbs fully installed, they say.

Question about Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Sport shocks (rear, 61029)

I’m setting up to install/swap my rear shocks and noticed that there’s two different “stampings” on the shock body: “D 350P A” on one, and “D 216R A” on the other.

Anyone know what those stamps mean? (Are they significant; do they indicate “side specific” etc)

Thanks!

NItrocharger Sport shocks for the rear of your 200 are not side specific. I'd guess those numbers are just manufacturing batch numbers or something similar.

Those who've had their cruiser repaired after an accident, did your insurance provider pay for OEM parts? Mine (progressive) is trying to tell me they are not required to pay for OEM parts, even on a 2021.

I'm trying to compel them to pay for OEM parts, but at this point I'm willing to take their payout for what they say the aftermarket parts cost and source my own OEM parts to the repair shop.

Low production numbers means it may be a non-issue as aftermarket parts may not be an option.

State Farm does, which is why I have been using them for almost 50 years now. Fortunately I haven't needed to test this with the Cruiser but they had no problem with OEM parts on my 8 year old Miata when I hit a deer.

Some have a 5 year age window (Liberty).

Good luck.

Slid a little bit sideways down into a rut off road, with a side load on the passenger front tire at the bottom of the rut. I think this is when my steering wheel started being slightly off center by maybe 5 degrees or less. Vehicle tracks dead nuts straight, no wandering, no pulling, nothing unusual that would suggest a twacked alignment (and I’ve had some weird alignments and am sensitive to it). All speeds from barely rolling to [redacted] on the highway for a few hundred miles.

Good candidate for a VGRS relearn? I’ve got techstream so no hoops to jump through other than to do it. I’d be pretty shocked if that bump did real, physical damage.

i just had the driver side headlight assembly, front bumper skin, headlight washer replaced after an accident. I'm with Nationwide and it was all OEM. earlier i replaced the windshield and they didnt flinch when i said i wanted OEM glass.

On the other hand, the most respected body shop in my city will not work with state farm because they are such a pain in the ass. Maybe it depends on the state..

Sounds like it to me.

Well it must vary around the country. When I had the Miata fixed, the first thing the owner asked me what which insurance company. He will ONLY work with State Farm from now on.

This car was ceramic coated when it was new, and when I mentioned this to the adjuster, they told me "have it redone and send us the bill, we'll take care of it". No questions.

Same thing when I needed the windshield replaced in the Cruiser, I insisted on OEM glass and they had no problem with that.

New to me 2016 LC. Overhead dome lights, see picture. Any way to turn them off or dim them?

Not affected by dash dimmer knob or any other switch I can find. Too bright for my taste.

Those lights are not present in stock 2016 Land Cruisers - must have been added by a previous owner. No way to tell how they were wired without tearing it all apart and tracing the wires.

Precisely my thinking, see other thread. But is that a stock fascia or they all have openings there and the PO added some LED's inside? Easy enough to fix.

Though thinking more, maybe I add a small switch of my own - the lighting is small enough to work with, and not as jarring as the normal map lights.

It's a Land Cruiser thing - the holes are there stock, but no lights. The LX570 gets the lights.

If you can get to the bulbs, you might consider changing them to red.

I’m clearing out my garage and want to offer some of my unused gear to fellow mud haters in the Houston area. Free.
It’s not worth shipping any of the stuff so I say “Houston area.”

I’m not sure into what forum to put a thread.
I think somebody once mentioned a location-specific forum, but I can’t find it.
I would post in this 200 forum, but none of the stuff I want to get rid of is 200 specific.

So any thoughts on where to best post this?

And in case anybody is interested:
1 Yakima roof basket that came with the 2021 Heritage. Only ever used on the drive from the dealer to my house and then in my garage since.
1 Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 3 - 275/65r18 - never used but it was mounted on the Slee rear spare tire carrier for about 40k miles.
1 3-gallon Rotopax gas can - used for 4 trips to Telluride.
1 Rotopax mounting kit I used to carry the gas can on my factory roof bars.

I'd put it here:

Maybe put the wheel and tire in that classifieds section. Just put Houston in the title.

Thank you! Will do.

I read and reread the list of forums but “classifieds” does not show up here:

I should have searched more.
