Another thing I'll say about Dobinsons UCA is that they use high quality, replaceable Triple 5 ball joints, made in Japan. I also like that they use factory style bushings, and not higher maintenance urethane or spherical joints - mine is not a race car, and I don't maintain it like one. I got mine on sale when Exit offroad had a special offer, but I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

I think you have to separate Ironman stuff into two categories. Their actual parts seem to be well respected, while their accessories leave a lot to be desired in terms of quality. I wouldn't hesitate to rely on Ironman suspension components, but things like awnings have not inspired confidence.
 
Maybe... if you consider things like their bumpers an accessory. :)

Agreed. I have run the foam cell pro shocks on my 100 and 200. They do a great job both on and off road. I am going back to them after the BP51s crap out because they road much better.
 
I am installing an Icon Stage 5 suspension on a 2020 LC. Also installing a hidden winch (SDHQ mount with ZEON 12-S Platinum Winch with synthetic rope ).
Anything special I need to do to compensate for added front end weight? Not sure what total weight increase will be but guessing about 80 lbs.

Anyone have recommendations for replacement HID bulbs for a 2013-2015? Mine have been flickering occasionally but the driver's side was doing it even when sitting still at a traffic light. I tried a set of the DMEX 6k bulbs, which are $30 on Amazon, and they are worth every penny of the $30... but not much more. Light seems bright when pointed at a wall but it's definitely considerably lower output when they shine down my alley. I may buy the Philips Xtremevision Gen2 bulbs, but I'm hoping there's something offering OEM or better performance that doesn't cost me $200 per pair. (Also the Philips are hard to come by right now for some reason).

On the plus side the flickering is gone, so at least I know it was the bulbs and not the ballasts.

Nothing special.

Who ever is installing the lift will or should adjust the icon springs to match.

I’m using the Philips bulbs you mentioned in my 2015 LX and they’re good. Stock lighting always seems to be lacking but these bulbs get the job done. I like the color and output. I haven’t had good luck with LED bulbs but I know a lot of people seem to like them. I think I bought them from a site in the UK, shipping only took a few days.

I have the Osram Night Breakers but haven't had a chance to install them yet. Osram also has a classic version as well which they say are similar to OEM. Morimoto's are ok too, I do feel Osram or Philips is a step above then Morimoto's.

Take a look at lightwerkz or trs. If you can wait I would suspect they would have a sale for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. They seem to have sales for most of the holidays.

Drained/filled my front/rear differentials tonight. In both cases when I unscrewed the fill plug I heard air escaping. I'm assuming my diff breathers are clogged? Is this common on the 200?

Shouldn't be pressurized obviously, and I don't think it's common... Easy enough to check if they're clogged.
 
In the low crawl control setting should the vehicle lurch forward in stages or is it a steady movement? Mine seems to move, make a bunch of noises and then move again. It seems smoother if I keep my foot slightly on the brake.
I just recently in got crawl working after never having it so I don’t know if it’s rusty from not being used or what. Med and high are fluid.

Normal for flat ground.

In use, it wouldn't be on flat ground, with grade and obstacles impeding or downhill. The noises like bolts in a tin can is normal and is just the system modulating brakes cyclically.

Easiet just to cut the height sensor bracket off the stock UCA and then tack it on the new one. Just measure where it sits on the old and replicate it on the new. That’s what I did swapping to tundra UCA, but the same should apply with an aftermarket. The arm might have a slightly different shape, but should be easily doable. It’s just a small weld, 2 minute job to attach.
 
What would cause a squeak on BP-51s with side to side motion (jumping on the sliders) vs minimal front to back (jumping on the front or rear bumper)? Note: I have already done the rear strut fix and it doesn't sound like it's coming from that.

Could be the lower spherical bearings that connect to the LCA. Mine went out around 30k of use and, to quote another MUD member, sounded like I had a dozen styrofoam coolers in the back all rubbing and squeaking. YMMV but how many miles are on the setup?
