I'm going to want to track down the same thing in my 2020 soon. What's the proposed best option on the interior? It would ideally be something on the passenger side since that's where my power wires from the battery pass through. Taking a switched feed from under the hood and running it through the same grommet my unswitched power leads travel through is definitely an option as well.

If I recall correctly, I used the ign fuse, with an add-a-fuse on my former ’13.

I found a switched lead at the trailer control box in the cargo area, if anyone needs one there. It is the thin black wire going into the red box. Confusing to me that a black wire is hot, but who am I to say.

Yeah, I remember seeing that box when I added my rear outlets on the driver side last summer shortly after I bought the LC. IIRC, I used the ground connection that's just to the left of and below the towing converter mounting point in your previous photo to ground the circuits on the driver side. There's a pretty much identical ground point on the other side that I used for the passenger side circuits.

These switched power sources we've been discussing are for when the ignition is fully on rather than when the car is in accessory mode, correct? One of my needs is to have a switched power source for my cellular router. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I probably want to be able to have that turn on in accessory mode so it can be used without turning the ignition fully on; I just don't want it to be on all the time as it would obviously drain the battery after a day or so. That being the case, my best bet may be to hook up one of those add-a-fuse fuse taps to one of the circuits that turns on in accessory mode (perhaps one of the 12V "cigarette lighter" circuits) and use that to trigger my switched circuits. I'm more of a fan of those add-a-fuse taps rather than tapping into a wire because they don't involve doing anything that can't be reversed later.

But before I take any action, I need to decide where I want to mount the cellular router. I'll be installing my Kaon rear roof shelf sometime in the next few days, which will give me the opportunity to see if that's a good mounting location for it.

Does anyone else find that their shark fin antenna has a bit of play and has no rubber around it? I find that I can move mine around and up a little bit. Also there’s no weather sealant around the base as I’ve found in my other vehicles. Was wondering if this is just my truck or others find the same thing.
I’m concerned bc I recently went into a low parking garage which I think might if scraped it.

I was just up there sliding my canoe on the rack and checked the antenna. No visible weatherstripping and it does slightly wiggle.

Thanks all. I done goofed. Visiting my parents I drove the truck on 32.1s (.5” taller than stock) into their garage. I only noticed afterwards that the garage door to ground clearance is only 75”.

I checked the truck for scratches but didn’t see any up front. The rear and shark fin does have scratches. I think it’s because the driveway is sloped so first 80% of the truck didn’t need to deal with the lower garage clearance. I only see some scratches on the rear portion of the rails and the shark fin.

The issue is I don’t have the luxury of driveway slope helping me with backing out.. Any ideas on how to get the truck out? Some I had:

• Remove factory rails but that wouldn’t address the shark fin. Also the procedure appears to be a pain
• Weight down the truck so it sits lower and back it out
• Remove the other car in the garage and do a 3 point turn in the garage to benefit from slope
• See if I can get the garage door to open up a couple more inches — I like this one the best since I don’t need to mess with the truck

Disconnect the garage door from the track by pulling the red handle. See if you can push it up further by hand.

If that doesn’t work airing down would be easier than adding load.

And also don’t cry over that dang shark fin.

Drop your air pressures to 15 psi (or as low as you are comfortable going) and drive out slowly. Have a spotter on a step ladder make sure you are clear as you SLOWLY back out. Air up once you are out of the garage.

Quick update: I brute forced the garage door open basically standing overhead press to get it up 2-3 inches while wife backed it straight out. Even then the cross member hit and the rest barely made it through. Would of been pretty bad otherwise so happy to escape with a few scratches.

Drop your air pressures to 15 psi (or as low as you are comfortable going) and drive out slowly. Have a spotter on a step ladder make sure you are clear as you SLOWLY back out. Air up once you are out of the garage.

This would of been a GREAT idea that I didn’t think of hope some other poor soul comes across it

I'm mid AHC flush right now and think I might have found out the problem some are running into with the pump priming/cavitating?

I filled the tank until fluid came back out the fill tube then proceeded to flush from Normal height and emptied about 14x14x14x10 oz. I had to clear the abnormal pressure code, but once the pump kicked on it'd run steady for about 20 seconds or so before it started to sound like it was cavitating. I immediately hit the AHC off switch and then released the suction on the tank by cracking the fill cap. Once I turned AHC back on it resumed and sounded healthy. I had to break the suction about 3 times, but didn't have to shutoff the truck, just hit OFF.

After it hit Low I cycled to Normal and relieved the pressure once again after.

Has anyone documented a need to break suction?

There shouldn't be any suction. The fill cap is vented. Is your filter clogged?

The vent has a check on it that allows pressure to release, but does not allow air in - causing suction. Filter is clean. Maybe my vent is faulty or the pump is on the way out?

It ran through all the heights fine, will see how it operates during driving later today.

For next time, there should be a dial adjustment you can turn with a screwdriver to set the stopping point for the door. Based on the limited pics, it looks like it should have some room left on the track to roll higher.
