Thanks all. I done goofed. Visiting my parents I drove the truck on 32.1s (.5” taller than stock) into their garage. I only noticed afterwards that the garage door to ground clearance is only 75”.
I checked the truck for scratches but didn’t see any up front. The rear and shark fin does have scratches. I think it’s because the driveway is sloped so first 80% of the truck didn’t need to deal with the lower garage clearance. I only see some scratches on the rear portion of the rails and the shark fin.
The issue is I don’t have the luxury of driveway slope helping me with backing out.. Any ideas on how to get the truck out? Some I had:
- Remove factory rails but that wouldn’t address the shark fin. Also the procedure appears to be a pain
- Weight down the truck so it sits lower and back it out
- Remove the other car in the garage and do a 3 point turn in the garage to benefit from slope
- See if I can get the garage door to open up a couple more inches — I like this one the best since I don’t need to mess with the truck
PS yes I feel extremely foolish
