Anyone use an anti rattle hitch thingy? I got one like this

Amazon product ASIN B01IO2N44E
but can’t get it below the bottom of the hitch. I have an extender for my bike to clear the tire swing out.

Thanks
I welded a little “hook” to mine that grabs under the bottom of the larger receiver structure on the LC200 (no picture handy sorry) but it also fits on sideways and works fine that way (at least for a bike rack)

Hi Guys, I am new into the forum and happy to be here. I owned stock 2014/15 LX570
I am planning to start camping with friends and family , My friend happened to own 95 defender and we planned to do 2 nights camp in July/August.
The camp is not fully remote =) ,Below is the list i am planning to purchase

1. Front Runner Rack
2. CVT Rainier ( Me, My wife, 4 y/o Daugter , and 2 y/o daughter)
3. 270xt bush Awning
4. Ikea compartment ??

Some questioms are
1. I assume the front runner rack is plug and play right ? so i need to remove the stock rail on my lx570 ?
2. Is the CVT rainier is the 'best' for my family composition ?
3. This awning is damn expensive but the youtube video and the craftsmanship is 'aw', what do you think guys ?
4. Anything else should we add ? i am new to this and i dont know how deep it will goes,

Thanks all ;)

Camp without all that stuff first. Then determine what you really *need* to improve your experience.

I have camped dozens of times in my 200 without any of that. Only recently did I get an awning. A couple coolers and an old Coleman stovetop along with a pop up shade and some camping chairs have gotten us a long way

I'd like to submit a stupid question:

After a major hit, at what point is the protection of a skid plate compromised? There are a few threads of people showing damage to (mostly aluminum) skids with the intent to replace them w/ steel. Some of the hits appear significant, but the skid likely still works. no?

I am installing some accessories and I am trying to figure out where I am going to land the new switches. When I started looking today my left hand panel is already full and I don't know where to stick the new switch. How has this been solved before? I searched and couldn't find anyplace where this particular question was answered.

Thanks!

^ here's an option out of AUS...

The bank to the right of the steering wheel is also an option.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I assumed that was for right-hand drive vehicles but maybe it fits left-hand drive models just fine too.

I believe the panels are symmetrical (my assumption) and I was going to check where the clips are to make sure.

most curious if this has verified fitment on US (left hand drive) LX models. i had once upon a time hunted down the TLC part that would fit (55446-60170-C0) but that was hard to source at a reasonable cost.

Correct .. You can hammer them back flat.

If they crack they may need to be welded or replaced. That is why metal is more-usable, it doesn't crack as easily and can be hammered back in place easier.

Example: if the skid gives 2" pressure clearance .. and dents 1.5" you do not want to run with only 1/2" pressure clearance remaining so you reset it back to 2".

Good point! No idea myself.... just saw that while cruising around their site. Guess you could always just convert to RHD.

I emailed to ask.

Hi Llewdis. Sorry these wont fit the LHD models you would need a mirror image of these to work in your vehicle.

Wonder if there are any 3D printing gurus who would bite off this project.

For one camping trip? Skip all of that and just go enjoy yourself.

Appreciate the comments. For clarity, where you say metal is more useable and is less likely to crack. Do you mean when compared to an alloy (steel)?
